Consumer Data means personally identifiable information associated with a consumer account that needs to be protected due to the confidential nature of the information.

Consumer Data means “nonpublic personal information,” as defined in 15 U.S.C. § 6809(4), that is collected by a motor vehicle dealer and is provided by the motor vehicle dealer directly to a manufacturer or third party acting on behalf of a manufacturer. “Consumer data” does not include the same or similar data which is obtained by a manufacturer from any other source.
