Concerning Behaviour definition

Concerning Behaviour means any behaviour that, while not indicative of a clear immediate threat, gives rise to a reasonable apprehension that the Student may engage in conduct harmful to him- or herself or to others, including but not limited to:

  • Coordinate an action plan for Students exhibiting Concerning Behaviour that includes supports and a clear referral mechanism for members of the University Community.

  • Rewards are offered through:• Scholarships for residence students who demonstrate community involvement and leadership• Offers to attend development opportunities such as Community Helpers• Student leadership roles such as a Residence Assistant or Peer Education ProgrammerNegative or Concerning Behaviour – Housing Services must address concerning behaviours, especially if they are violations or breaches of policy.

  • Information regarding Concerning Behaviour that is received during the Student application process must be referred to the Executive Director of Enrolment Services or the Dean of Graduate Studies, as appropriate.

  • Personal information that is disclosed under section 2.32 above in respect of an incidence of Non-Academic Misconduct or Concerning Behaviour will be the minimum amount necessary for the purpose.

  • Use this Procedure, the Student Discipline Bylaw and other policies, procedures and bylaws as appropriate where additional action is necessary to deal with Concerning Behaviour.

  • Where a Student is exhibiting Concerning Behaviour, members of the University Community must report such behaviour to their Unit Head, a member of STATIS, and/or UMSS.

  • Any disciplinary matters within the club may reference the ‘Student Non-Academic Misconduct and Concerning Behaviour Procedure’ to restrict certain member behaviours and member conduct.

  • Student Non-Academic Misconduct and Concerning Behaviour Procedure;(j) Student Discipline Bylaw; and(k) Use of Computer Facilities Policy and Procedure.

  • Where the individual is a student, the discipline will be implemented in accordance with the Student Discipline Bylaw and the Student Non- Academic Misconduct and Concerning Behaviour Procedure.

  • It was moved by Dr. Anderson and seconded by Ms. DeSouza-Huletey:THAT the Board of Governors approve revisions to the Student Discipline Bylaw and associated Student Non-Academic Misconduct and Concerning Behaviour and Student Discipline Appeal procedures, effective September 1, 2021 [subject to Senate approval, June 16, 2021].

Related to Concerning Behaviour

  • Concerning means relating to, referring to, describing, evidencing or constituting.

  • Deputation means a person or group of persons who wish to appear personally before the council or a committee of the council in order to address the council or committee of the council;

  • Diversity means variety among individuals. Diversity includes, for example, variations in socio-economic status, race, developmental level, ethnicity, gender, language, learning styles, culture, abilities, age, interests, and/or personality.

  • Intimidating, threatening, abusive, or harming conduct means, but is not limited to, conduct that does the following:

  • Serious assault means an act that constitutes a felony violation of chapter XI of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81 to 750.90h, or that constitutes an assault and infliction of serious or aggravated injury under section 81a of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81a.

  • Discrimination or harassment means discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ancestry, national origin, or disability.

  • Exposed workplace means any work location, working area, or common area at work used or accessed by a COVID-19 case during the high-risk period, including bathrooms, walkways, hallways, aisles, break or eating areas, and waiting areas. The exposed workplace does not include buildings or facilities not entered by a COVID-19 case.

  • Orientation means any introductory instruction into a new practice environment or employment situation where being a nurse is a requirement of employment or where the individual uses any title or abbreviation indicating that the individual is a nurse. Orientation is considered the practice of nursing in this State.

  • Threatening behavior means any pattern of behavior or isolated action, whether or not it is directed at another person, that a reasonable person would believe indicates potential for future harm to students, school personnel, or school property.

  • coercive practices means harming or threatening to harm, directly or indirectly, persons, or their property to influence their participation in a procurement process, or affect the execution of a contract;

  • Intentional Wrongdoing means an act or omission taken or omitted by a Party with knowledge or intent that injury or damage could reasonably be expected to result.

  • Serious means violations that either result in one or more neg- ative outcomes and significant actual harm to residents that does not constitute imminent danger, or there is a reasonable predictability of recurring actions, practices, situations, or incidents with potential for causing significant harm to a resident, or both.

  • Complex or chronic medical condition means a physical,

  • Sexual orientation means actual or perceived heterosexuality, homosexuality or bisexuality.

  • Abuse means one or more of the following:

  • Workplace Harassment means engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct against a worker in a workplace that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome”. Ref: Occupational Health and Safety Act, Sec. 1 (1). The employee rights set out above shall be interpreted within the context of the Ontario Human Rights Code. An employee who believes that she has been harassed, contrary to this provision shall be encouraged by both parties to follow the Employer’s policy on harassment and process. Failing resolution, an employee may follow the process set out in the Complaint, Grievance and Arbitration procedure in Article 8 of the Collective Agreement. The employee shall be encouraged by both parties to exhaust these processes prior to filing a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

  • Complaints means each of the following documents:

  • Safety means any product which, under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use including duration and, where applicable, putting into service, installation and maintenance requirements, does not present any risk or only the minimum risks compatible with the product's use, considered to be acceptable and consistent with a high level of protection for the safety and health of persons.

  • biodiversity means the variability among living organisms from all sources including, inter alia, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems;

  • Extreme Vetting means data mining, threat modeling, predictive risk analysis, or other similar services." Extreme Vetting does not include:

  • Positive Behavioral Theory and Practice means a proactive approach to individual behavior and behavior interventions that:

  • Ethics means a set of principles governing the conduct of all persons governed by these rules.

  • Concern means any business entity organized for profit (even if its ownership is in the hands of a nonprofit entity) with a place of business located in the United States or its outlying areas and that makes a significant contribution to the U.S. economy through payment of taxes and/or use of American products, material and/or labor, etc. It includes but is not limited to an individual, partnership, corporation, joint venture, association, or cooperative. For the purpose of making affiliation findings (see 19.101) any business entity, whether organized for profit or not, and any foreign business entity, i.e., any entity located outside the United States and its outlying areas.

  • Improper influence means any influence that induces or tends to induce a PHA/IHA employee or officer to give consideration or to act regarding a PHA/IHA contract on any basis other than the merits of the matter.
