Compact Device definition

Compact Device means any audiovisual device or similar device containing a motion picture (recorded film, disc, tape or other material) designed for replay on a television receiver or monitor or other similar device.
Compact Device shall have the meaning defined in Section 8.3.

Examples of Compact Device in a sentence

  • Compact Device means the distribution of a Production by manufacturing and selling or renting copies of a Production on DVD, tape, disc, cassette, CD-ROM or any other similar physical format intended primarily for private, in-home exhibition.

  • Compact Device means copies of programs on tape, disc, cassette, laser disc, CD-ROM, DVD or any other similar format manufactured and intended primarily for private, in-home exhibition.

  • Where an audio tape, book, Compact Device, phonograph record or compact discs or any other similar material is made of or from the Motion Picture or any portion thereof or of any of the music contained therein, then Article DR11.04(a) of this Schedule shall apply and the Director shall receive credit on the audio tapes, books, Compact Devices, or phonograph records or compact discs or on the cover, envelope or container thereof if the writer, principal performer, or the Producer is given credit.

  • Such payment shall entitle the Producer to all television use now or hereafter known for the Production in perpetuity, including free streaming use on the broadcaster’s website for the duration of the broadcaster’s television license terms, but excluding use on Compact Device and any New Media Platform.

  • A411 Compact Device use means the distribution of a Production by manufacturing and selling or renting copies of a Production on tape, disc, cassette, laser disc, CD-Rom or any other similar format intended primarily for private, in-home exhibition.

  • The term “production” for the purpose of this Section includes multiple Episodes of a Series, a Pilot Program, a Mini Series, a feature film, a made-for-television-movie, a Compact Device, and another similar Program.

  • A429 Non-theatrical means the distribution in all formats in all media save for Theatrical, Network Television, Syndicated Television, Pay Television, Cable Television and Compact Device distribution, except Uses contemplated in Article B302 of this Agreement.

Related to Compact Device

  • Sensor means any measurement device that is not part of the vehicle itself but installed to determine parameters other than the concentration of gaseous and particle pollutants and the exhaust mass flow.

  • Assistive Devices means any category of durable medical equipment, mechanical apparatus, electrical appliance, or instrument of technology used to assist and enhance an individual's independence in performing any activity of daily living. Assistive devices include the use of service animals, general household items, or furniture to assist the individual.

  • Monitoring device means the total equipment used to measure and record (if applicable) process parameters.

  • Fabrication means making up data or results and recording or reporting them.

  • Encapsulation means the application of an encapsulant.

  • Network Interface Device or "NID" is a Network Element (including all of its features, functions and capabilities) that includes any means of Interconnection of End User Customer premises wiring to Qwest's distribution plant, such as a cross connect device used for that purpose. "New Service Provider" means the Party to which an End User Customer switches its local Exchange Service or the Party to which an End User Customer is porting its telephone number(s).

  • Assistive device means any item, piece of equipment, or product system which is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of an individual with a disability in the workplace or on the job. “Assistive device” does not mean any medical device, surgical device, or organ implanted or transplanted into or attached directly to an individual. “Assistive device” does not include any device for which a certificate of title is issued by the state department of transportation, but does include any item, piece of equipment, or product system otherwise meeting the definition of “assistive device” that is incorporated, attached, or included as a modification in or to such a device issued a certificate of title.

  • Configuration means State-specific changes made to the Software without Source Code or structural data model changes occurring.

  • Platforms means collectively Bonitas’ websites, including affiliated websites and Member portals;

  • Access Device means a card, plate, code, account number, per- sonal identification number, electronic serial number, mobile identi- fication number, or other telecommunications service, equipment, or instrument identifier or means of account access that alone or in conjunction with another device may be used to:

  • Devices means any and all devices owned or purchased from time to time by Party A and utilized for the purposes of the provision of the Services.

  • Optical means services related to the provision of glasses, contact lenses, tests and treatments carried out by a registered optometrist or ophthalmologist.

  • Mobile Device means a computing device, typically smaller than a notebook, which runs a mobile operating system, such as iOS, Android, or Windows Phone. Mobile Devices include smart phones, most tablets, and other form factors.

  • compatibility means compatibility as defined in point (10) of Article 2 of Directive (EU) 2019/770;

  • Thermostat means a temperature control device that contains metallic mercury in an ampule attached to a bimetal sensing element, and mercury-containing ampules that have been removed from these temperature control devices in compliance with the requirements of § 273.13(c)(2) or 273.33(c)(2).

  • Beam monitoring system means a system designed and installed in the radiation head to detect and measure the radiation present in the useful beam.

  • explosive actuated fastening device means a tool that is activated by an explosive charge and that is used for driving bolts, nails and similar objects for the purpose of providing fixing;

  • Cyanoacrylate adhesive means any adhesive with a cyanoacrylate content of at least 95% by weight.

  • Filter means material placed in the useful beam to preferentially absorb selected radiations.

  • Kit means a set of components that are packaged together and intended to be used to perform a specific in vitro diagnostic examination, or a part thereof;

  • Device means instruments, apparatus, and contrivances, including their components, parts, and

  • Sampler means a person who is employed by or is an owner of a licensed laboratory, grower, or processor and is authorized by that employer to collect samples in accordance with the testing laboratory's standard operating procedures and these Rules.

  • Filtering facepiece (dust mask) means a negative pressure particulate respirator with a filter as an integral part of the facepiece or with the entire facepiece composed of the filtering medium, not equipped with elastomeric sealing surfaces and adjustable straps.

  • Subsystem means any subset of the System identified as such in the Contract that may be supplied, installed, tested, and commissioned individually before Commissioning of the entire System.

  • Antenna means communications equipment that transmits or receives electromagnetic radio frequency signals used in the provision of wireless services.

  • Programming means the process of organisation, decision-making and allocation of financial resources in several stages, with the involvement of partners in accordance with Article 5, intended to implement, on a multi-annual basis, joint action by the Union and the Member States to achieve the objectives of the Union strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth;
