Community Strategy definition

Community Strategy means the Sustainable Community Strategy agreed by the Cumbria Strategic Partnership
Community Strategy. Local authorities are required by the Local Government Act 2000 to prepare these, with the aim of improving the social, environmental and economic well being of their areas. Responsibility for producing community strategies may be passed to Community Strategy Partnerships, which include local authority representatives. Consensus Building: A process of early dialogue with targeted interest groups to improve the understanding of relevant issues and viewpoints.
