Community Organisation definition

Community Organisation means a body corporate that—
Community Organisation means a body corporate or an unincorporated association that is not carried on for the pecuniary profit of its members, and that has as its principal purpose the provision of community service, or a form of assistance, to persons living or working on Norfolk Island, including the provision of sporting or cultural facilities.
Community Organisation. Means an incorporated “not for profitCommunity Group or Organisation, whose primary aim is to provide services which are of benefit to the Community. Services provided would commonly centre on being community oriented, recreational, social and educational. The operating purpose of a Community Organisation is other than to provide goods or services at a profit, surpluses may not be distributed among its members both while it is operating and if it winds up, and the organisation does generally not pay income tax or its equivalents. They must be a “Not for Profit” group as defined by the Australian Taxation Office. A copy of the “Not for Profit” registration must be supplied upon application to be able to receive the community rates of hire.

Examples of Community Organisation in a sentence

  • Each participating Community Organisation must comply with the terms and conditions of cover provided to them by the Authority and must make any notifiable disclosures to the Authority and the insurer.

  • If in relation to its provision of works to provide a public facility to the Community, an eligible Community Organisation may during the Financial Year issue an invoice to the Authority for reimbursement of its costs (or percentage of its costs if contributing) actually incurred after the completion of the works or milestone as stated in item 5 or as otherwise agreed in writing with the Authority.

  • The Primary Care Giver in such an arrangement is required by the Community Organisation to take a minimum of 12 month leave to stabilise the placement of the child.
