Community development district definition

Community development district means a local unit of special-purpose government which is created pursuant to this act and limited to the performance of those specialized functions authorized by this act; the governing head of which is a body created, organized, and constituted and authorized to function specifically as prescribed in this act for the purpose of the delivery of urban community development services; and the for- mation, powers, governing body, operation, duration, accountability, requirements for disclosure, and termi- nation of which are as required by general law.

Community development district means and refer to the Viera East Community Development District, a local unit of special-purpose government created pursuant to Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, which Community Development District may pertain to all or portions of the District Property and all or portions of the Properties, and which may also pertain to certain real property not forming a part of the Properties.

Community development district or “CDD” shall mean any community development district which is a local unit of special purpose government organized and existing under Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, established with respect to the community.
