Commercial air carrier definition

Commercial air carrier means any person or business entity who undertakes directly by hire, lease or other arrangement to engage in the carriage by aircraft of persons or property for compensation. This definition includes, but is not limited to, the following: all classes of air carriers as defined by the FAA; commuter and air taxi operators; and, commercial operators of large and small aircraft.
Commercial air carrier means a person conducting a business open to the general public of carrying passengers or freight by aircraft for reward, regardless of whether the aircraft is scheduled or chartered;
Commercial air carrier means any aircraft operator engaged in the transportation by Aircraft of Persons, freight, cargo, or mail for hire, including but not limited to, air carriers holding a Federal Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for operation into the Airport on a regularly scheduled basis.

  • Scheduled Commercial Air Carrier - this service shall be utilized for long distance individual travel, unless there is a compelling reason for use of another mode of travel, such as medical necessity, less costly charter flights, or inadequate time schedules.
