Command staff means in an incident management organization, the Command Staff consists of the Incident Commander and the special staff positions of the Public Information Officer, Safety Officer, Liaison Officer, and other positions as required, who report directly to the Incident Commander. ACTIVATION TERMINOLOGY Scramble – An immediate request for a strike team or task force within 30 minutes for a deployment lasting 3 hours to 24 hours. Standard – A request for a strike team or task force within 3 hours for a deployment lasting 3 days or less.
