A possible trial to be conducted is in an adjuvant treatment setting, where patients are given the Compound prior to surgical resection of tumor material, and the activity of the Compound assessed by gene expression analysis of biomarkers identified with the Avalon technology. This information would then be used to determine if the Compound is having the desired effect on the tumor, and if the patient should continue treatment with the Compound or find alternative therapy.
