Class VI definition

Class VI. A Bachelor’s degree plus 75 units (semester hours) from an accredited 4-year college with a Master’s degree, or a Master’s degree plus 30 units (semester hours) from an accredited college. (Units to be taken from an institute other than a 4-year college shall be related to the employee’s assignment and be approved by the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, prior to enrollment.) Note: An additional .04 times the beginning salary (Class I, Step I) will be given for the earned doctorate.

Class VI means a ship engaged only on voyages with not more than 250 passengers on board, to sea, or in Category A, B, C or D waters, in all cases in favourable weather and during restricted periods, in the course of which the ships are at no time more than 15 miles, exclusive of any Category A, B, C or D waters, from their point of departure nor more than 3 miles from land,

Examples of Class VI in a sentence

  • The issuer of any policy shall have a Certificate of Authority to transact insurance business in the State of Texas or have a Best's rating of at least B+ and a Best's Financial Size Category of Class VI or better, according to the most current edition of Best's Key Rating Guide, Property-Casualty United States.

  • These criteria will be deemed to be met if the Surety currently has an A.M. Best Company Policyholders rating of “A‐ ” better and has or exceeds the Best Financial Size Category of Class VI.

  • All insurance shall be written by companies with a Best’s Key Rating Guide (Property-Casualty, United States) rating of A or better and a Best’s Financial Size Category of Class VI or better.

  • Insurance companies listed on certificates must have industry rating of A-, Class VI or higher, according to Best's Key Rating Guide.

  • Liability Insurance Companies furnishing insurance coverage required by these General Conditions shall (a) be approved to issue insurance policies in the State of Georgia, and (b) must have no less than a "B+" Financial Rating and a Financial Size Category of "Class VI" or higher according to the most current edition of A.M. Best's Insurance Reports.

  • This condition applies to activities occurring in two categories of waters; Class V (Put and Take Trout Waters) and Class VI (Natural Trout Waters), as defined by the Virginia State Water Control Board Regulations, Water Quality Standards (VR-680-21-00), dated January 1, 1991, or the most recently updated publication.

  • Sheets used shall be produced by hot dip process and galvanizing shall be Class VI - Light Coating of zinc nominal 185 gm/sq.
