Casual Occasional Teacher definition

Casual Occasional Teacher means any Occasional Teacher employed by the Board to teach on a day-to-day basis.

Casual Occasional Teacher means an Occasional Teacher who is not a Long Term Occasional Teacher.

Casual Occasional Teacher means any Occasional Teacher employed by the Board for a period of 13 or less consecutive days as a replacement for a teacher.

• In a situation where a Casual Occasional Teacher is replacing more than one Teacher, the Occasional Teacher shall be provided with a minimum of one half period for preparation and no more than one Teacher’s supervision assignments.

• Should cancellation of a pre-arranged assignment occur without two (2) hours’ notice, and the Casual Occasional Teacher reports to work, then one-half (½) day of other teaching duties will be assigned for which the teacher will be paid.

• The per diem rate paid shall not be less than the per diem rate paid to a Casual Occasional Teacher.

• A.01 Casual Occasional Teacher - shall mean any Occasional Teacher employed by the Board to teach on a day-to-day basis for a period of less than fifteen (15) consecutive days.
