The case manager may be assigned as the case planner and perform the dual roles of case manager and case planner, except for approval of the family assessment and service plan which becomes the responsibility of the case manager’s supervisor in this instance. CASEWORKER is any additional Department or Agency staff other than case manager or case planner directly involved in a child welfare case who provides services to any family member, or assesses, evaluates, makes casework contacts, and/or arranges or coordinates one or more aspects of service delivery. The caseworker contributes to the development of the family assessment and service plan as directed by the case planner. There may be multiple caseworkers assigned to a family services stage. CASE PLANNING means assessing the need for, providing or arranging for, coordinating and evaluating the provision of protective services for children and all other rehabilitative services provided to children named in abuse and/or maltreatment reports and their families.
