Care leavers definition

Care leavers means persons who are former relevant children (within the meaning given by section 23C(1) of the Children Act 1989);

Care leavers. We are part of the 'We Care' partnership which has representation from HUWPG and the four local authorities in the area. This group works together to ensure care leavers are given extra opportunities and additional support to access higher education. In 2014-15, we will host a good practice conference on behalf of the We Care partnership.
