A firefighter or Captain in the Unit may be required to perform additional duties in an "acting" capacity due to the illness, vacation, or retirement of another member of the Department.
The additional compensation shall be retroactive to the date the Captain is eligible for and submits their application for the POST Intermediate Certificate and their Incentive Pay Request to the Personnel and Training Bureau.
