Broker Firm Participant definition

Broker Firm Participant means a Person that (i) is a Participant (but not a General Participant), (ii) is registered as a Futures Commission Merchant or Introducing Broker or in another appropriate capacity, or is exempt from such registration, and (iii) enters Orders or executes Swaps on a Platform or subject to the Rules on an agency basis on behalf of Customers, or other Participants or their Customers, but may not engage in SEF Activity for the Broker Firm Participant’s Proprietary Account.

Examples of Broker Firm Participant in a sentence

  • This means, we operate our business and conduct our relationships with all stakeholders – customers, employees, vendors, investors and local communities – with equal commitment and focus.

  • Tradition SEF may, acting in its reasonable discretion, terminate or suspend the designation of an individual as Authorized Trader, Authorized Broker or Authorized Agent and shall promptly notify the Participant or Broker Firm Participant, as applicable, of such action.

  • Orders for non-cleared Permitted Transactions may be entered into the Permitted Transaction Order Book through interaction with a Broker Firm Participant that has been granted agency access to the Order Book, or directly through IM, telephone or other acceptable form of communication with a SEF Execution Specialist.

  • A request for a response on an interest for a Required Transaction may be made by a Participant, or a Customer authorized by a Participant, or a Broker Firm Participant who is registered with the Tradition SEF and is authorized by a Participant or Customer to act on their behalf.

  • Program participant means an individual certified by the secretary as a program participant under Iowa Code section 9E.3.

  • Designated Participant means such employees or officers of the Company or a related entity of the Company as the Board may designate from time to time as eligible to participate in the Plan;

  • Covered Executive means any “executive officer” of the Company as defined under Rule 10D-1.

  • Participant has the meaning specified in Section 10.06(d).

  • CDS Participant means a participant in CDS that holds security entitlements in Units on behalf of beneficial owners of those Units;

  • Current Participant means a person who participated in the Plan during the Class Period and had an Active Account on May 11, 2018.

  • Participating employee means an employee whose election to participate in a Plan has been approved by the employer.

  • Non-Key Employee means any Employee who is not a Key Employee.

  • Section 162(m) Participant means any key Employee designated by the Administrator as a key Employee whose compensation for the fiscal year in which the key Employee is so designated or a future fiscal year may be subject to the limit on deductible compensation imposed by Section 162(m) of the Code.

  • Bona fide employee means a person, employed by a bidder and subject to the bidder's supervision and control as to time, place, and manner of performance, who neither exerts, nor proposes to exert improper influence to solicit or obtain contracts nor holds out as being able to obtain any contract(s) through improper influence.

  • Market Participant means an entity that, for its own account, produces, transmits, sells, and/or purchases for its own consumption or resale capacity, energy, energy derivatives and ancillary services in the wholesale power markets. Market Participants include transmission service customers, power exchanges, Transmission Owners, load serving entities, loads, holders of energy derivatives, generators and other power suppliers and their designated agents.

  • Exchange Participant means (a) the Bank which is a person registered as a China Connect Exchange Participant (as defined in the SEHK China Connect Rules) by SEHK; or (b) where the context requires, any China Connect Exchange Participant (as defined in the SEHK China Connect Rules).

  • Qualifying Employee means any employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries who is and has been an employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries for at least thirty-six (36) months.
