Basic Matching Contribution definition

Basic Matching Contribution is equal to (i) one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount of an "Eligible Participant's" Elective Deferrals that do not exceed three percent (3%) of the Participant's "Compensation" for the Plan Year, plus (ii) fifty percent (50%) of the amount of the Participant's Elective Deferrals that exceed three percent (3%) of the Participant's "Compensation" but do not exceed five percent (5%) of the Participant's "Compensation."

The dollar limit on Catch-up Contributions under Code Section 414(v)(2)(B)(i) is $1,000 for taxable years beginning in 2002, increasing by $1,000 for each year thereafter up to $5,000 for taxable years beginning in 2006 and later years. After 2006, the $5,000 limit will be adjusted by the Secretary of the Treasury for cost-of-living increases under Code Section 414(v)(2)(C). Any such adjustments will be in multiples of $500.

  • Non-Elective Contribution means the Employer contributions to the Plan excluding, however, contributions made pursuant to the Participant's deferral election provided for in Section 4.2 and any Qualified Non-Elective Contribution used in the "Actual Deferral Percentage" tests.
