Authorized leave of absence definition

Authorized leave of absence means an unpaid, temporary cessation from active employment with the Employer pursuant to an established nondiscriminatory policy, whether occasioned by illness, military service, or any other reason.

Authorized leave of absence means any absence authorized by the Employer under the Employer’s personnel practices, provided that all persons under similar circumstances are treated in a uniform and nondiscriminatory manner in the granting of such Authorized Leaves of Absence, and provided further that the Participant returns to employment with the Employer or retires within the period specified in the Authorized Leave of Absence.
