Australian link definition

Australian link has the meaning given to that term in the Privacy Act;

Examples of Australian link in a sentence

  • The Promoter will not send, allow to be sent, or assist in the sending of one or more unsolicited commercial electronic messages with an Australian link for purposes of the Spam Act, use or distribute any software designed to harvest email addresses or otherwise breach the Spam Act or the Spam Regulations 2004 (Cth).

  • However, if the APP entity is an organisation, the organisation must also have an Australian link (s 5B(1A)).

  • We are not likely to disclose your credit-related information to entities that do not have an Australian link.

  • Some of the organisations to whom we may disclose your personal information (including your credit information or credit eligibility information) will be located overseas and may not have an Australian link.

  • We do not expect to disclose credit information or credit eligibility information to entities without an Australian link.

  • Organisations and small business operators (1A) This Act, a registered APP code and the registered CR code extend to an act done, or practice engaged in, outside Australia and the external Territories by an organisation, or small business operator, that has an Australian link.

  • Canadian means one of the following: (a) a company or association incorporated or organized under the laws of Canada, or its designated representative(s) irrespective of nationality; (b) an agency of a federal, provincial, or local government in Canada, or its designated representative(s) irrespective of nationality; or (c) a self-representing individual who is a Canadian citizen residing in Canada.
