Approval by EPA definition

Approval by EPA means the issuance of a written approval document from EPA, approving, or approving with conditions a submission in accordance with Section VIII (Approval of Submissions). EPA shall consult with MEDEP before issuance of a written approval document, which at a minimum shall meet all requirements of applicable state law and MEPDES permits.
Approval by EPA or “Approved by EPA” shall mean the issuance of a written approval document from EPA approving or approving with conditions a submission in accordance with Section IX (Review and Approval).
