Alpha Version definition

Alpha Version means the Version of the Product that is written by or for the Developer that is a playable version of the Product containing substantially all features of the Product, as specified in the Specification with all software modules integrated and working together in a usable and testable fashion. The Alpha Version is expected to undergo further test and revision for levels, design tuning and elimination of possible Product Errors. Some assets may be placeholders for purposes of this Version and this Version may not include software theft protection, and title and legal screens. It also includes a draft of the User Manual and any Supporting Documentation reasonably requested by the Publisher to allow complete feature and functionality testing.
Alpha Version means a pre-release version of an anticipated commercial Software product that is released for internal, but not external, testing. "APPLICATION" means Software designed to perform a specific function directly for the user or, in some cases, for another application program.

More Definitions of Alpha Version

Alpha Version means that version of the product for which the following are true: (i) the product is functionally complete (including installer) and the API's are frozen with no new coding planned; (ii) the product is assumed to be buggy; (iii) the product is ready for serious testing by Adobe with its test plans and test documentation written during, the development phase. After delivery and acceptance of the Alpha Version of the product, Infodata shall deliver the beta version and release candidate of the product. FEES AND REIMBURSEMENT: Fee: $729,000 (the "Service Fee"). Consultant shall invoice Adobe on the schedule set forth on Attachment 1 to this Exhibit A. If UNIVERSAL declines to distribute the Scheduled Title, then UNIVERSAL will have no further rights whatsoever in the Scheduled Title and such Scheduled Title will not become a "Product" under this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, UNIVERSALagrees to exercise its option to obtain exclusive distribution rights in the Territory to each Scheduled Title submitted by Interplay which is of reasonable quality. Interplay agrees to deliver written reports to UNIVERSAL on a regular monthly basis setting forth the identity and the projected release dates for Scheduled Titles then in development.
