Affordable Rental Housing definition

Affordable Rental Housing means new, purpose-built, rental housing accommodation Units in any Building or Buildings which is modest in terms of floor area and amenities, based on household needs and community norms, in Projects that achieve rent levels in accordance with the Program Guidelines, but does not include residential premises used as a nursing home, retirement home, shelter, crisis care facility or any other type of similar facility;
Affordable Rental Housing means housing where the total monthly shelter costs (gross monthly rent including utilities – heat, hydro and hot waterbut excluding parking and cable television charges) is at or below one times the average City of Toronto rent, by unit type (number of bedrooms), as reported annually by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
Affordable Rental Housing means a residential unit where the rental cost does not exceed the affordable rental rate.

Affordable Rental Housing means permanent affordable rental housing with the Monthly Occupancy Costs of each unit set at 80% of Average Market Rent or lower.
