Advisory Person definition

Advisory Person means (i) any employee of the Fund, Manager or Adviser/Subadviser (or of any company in a control relationship to the Fund, Manager or Adviser/Subadviser) who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties, makes, participates in, or obtains current or pending information regarding the purchase or sale of a security by the Fund, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to such purchases or sales; and (ii) any natural person in a control relationship to the Fund who obtains information concerning recommendations made to the Fund with regard to the purchase or sale of a security.
Advisory Person means an “advisory person” and “advisory representative” as defined from time to time in Rule 17j-1 under the 1940 Act and Rule 204-2(a)(12) under the Advisers Act, respectively, or any applicable successor provision. Currently, this means (i) every employee of Loomis Sayles (or of any company in a Control relationship to Loomis Sayles), who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties, makes, participates in, or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of a Covered Security by Loomis Sayles on behalf of clients, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to such purchases or sales; and (ii) every natural person in a Control relationship to Loomis Sayles who obtains information concerning recommendations made to a client with regard to the purchase or sale of a Covered Security. Advisory Person also includes: (a) any other employee designated by Personal Trading Compliance or the Chief Compliance Officer as an Advisory Person under this Code; (b) any consultant, temporary employee, intern or independent contractor (or similar person) engaged by Loomis Sayles designated as such by Personal Trading Compliance or the Chief Compliance Officer as a result of such person’s access to information about the purchase or sale of Covered Securities by Loomis Sayles on behalf of clients (by being present in Loomis Sayles offices, having access to computer data or otherwise).
Advisory Person means any employee of the fund or investment adviser who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties makes, participates in, or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of Covered Securities by a Fund, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to the purchase or sales.

Examples of Advisory Person in a sentence

  • Prior to providing investment advisory services, an Advisory Person will ascertain each Client’s investment objective(s).

  • The requested relief will not extend to any transaction in which an Unaffiliated Subadviser or an Advisory Person, or an affiliated person of either such person, has an interest, except in connection with a Third Party Fund sponsored by an Unaffiliated Subadviser.

  • When providing services on an advisory fee basis, the Advisory Person does not also receive additional compensation for such advisory services.

  • This practice presents a conflict of interest because the Advisory Person who is a registered representative has an incentive to effect securities transactions for the purpose of generating commissions rather than solely based on the Client.

Advisory Person means:
Advisory Person means (1) any officer or employee of the Adviser or any company in a control relationship to the Adviser who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties, makes, participates in or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of a Covered Security by an Investment Company, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to such purchases or sales; and (2) any natural person in a control relationship to the Adviser who obtains information concerning the recommendations made to an Investment Company with regard to the purchase or sale of a Covered Security.
Advisory Person means (i) any director, officer, general partner or employee of a Fund or investment adviser (or of any company in a control relationship to the Fund or an investment adviser) who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties makes, participates in, or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of Securities by a Fund, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to such purchase or sales, or (ii) any natural person in a control relationship to a Fund or an investment adviser who obtains information concerning recommendations made to the Fund with regard to the purchase or sale of Securities by a Fund. For purposes of this definition, “control” has the same meaning as set forth in Section 2(a)(9) of the Investment Company Act of 1940.
Advisory Person means any person in a Control relationship to the Firm who obtains information concerning recommendations made to the Firm with regard to the purchase or sale of a security by the Firm.
Advisory Person means (1) any employee of the Trust (or of any company in a control relationship to the Trust) who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties, makes, participates in, or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of a security (as defined) by the Trust, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to such purchases or sales; and (2) any natural person in a control relationship to the Trust who obtains information concerning recommendations made to the Trust with regard to the purchase or sale of a security by the Trust.
Advisory Person means: (i) any employee of the Fund or Adviser who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties, makes, participates in, or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of Covered Securities by the Fund, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to the purchase or sales of Covered Securities; (ii) any natural person in a control relationship to the Fund or the Adviser who obtains information concerning recommendations made to the Fund with respect to the purchase or sales of Covered Securities by the Fund.
Advisory Person means (1) any director, trustee, officer, general partner or employee of a Fund or PIMCO (or of any company in a control relationship to the Fund or PIMCO), who, in connection with his or her regular functions or duties, makes, participates in, or obtains information regarding the purchase or sale of a financial instrument (as defined in this Code) by the Fund, or whose functions relate to the making of any recommendations with respect to such purchases or sales; and (2) any natural person in a control relationship to the Fund or PIMCO who obtains information concerning recommendations made to the Fund with regard to the purchase or sale of a financial instrument.
