Adjunct Lecturer definition

Adjunct Lecturer means all persons employed by Eastern Michigan University as a Lecturer on less than a full-time (100%) assignment, or a full-time (100%) assignment for a period of less than one (1) base academic year, and not otherwise included in the Bargaining Unit as defined in Article IV of this Agreement.
Adjunct Lecturer means persons who teach counseling courses, part time for various reasons at universities in higher education. They are considered practicing counselors by profession, if licensed or licensable. They are eligible for board service under the practicing counselor category.

Examples of Adjunct Lecturer in a sentence

  • Individuals appointed to Affiliated Adjunct Lecturer positions will be eligible to participate in the health insurance plans offered by the College to its eligible employees.

  • Adjunct faculty members will normally be hired at the rank of Adjunct Instructor and thereafter shall receive automatic promotion in rank as follows: • From Adjunct Instructor to Adjunct Lecturer upon earning seniority credits for three (3) or more consecutive years.

  • However, once an adjunct faculty member reaches the rank of Adjunct Lecturer, he or she will automatically move to the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor if they then have or thereafter earn the terminal degree for the area in which they teach.

  • A Graduate Assistant D may also hold an appointment as an Adjunct Lecturer (Doctoral Student) or as a Non-Teaching Adjunct (Doctoral Student).

  • If the Graduate Assistant D holds an Adjunct Lecturer (Doctoral Student) appointment, he/she may be appointed for a maximum of 180 contact hours in the Adjunct Lecturer (Doctoral Student) title (280 hours in the combined assignment).

  • Members of the bargaining unit are employees of WOU who hold academic rank (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Instructor and Adjunct Lecturer) and who are regularly employed at .50 FTE or more for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to salaries and other terms and conditions of employment.

  • Members of the bargaining unit are employees of WOU who hold academic rank (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Instructor, Adjunct Lecturer and Instructor) and who are regularly employed at .50 FTE or more for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to salaries and other terms and conditions of employment.

  • Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.

  • Program Manager refers to the professional management firm selected by the Owner as the Owner’s representative for the Project, and its employees and consultants.

  • Volunteer firefighter means a firefighter whose position normally requires less than 600

  • Contract Manager means the DNR staff person who processes this contract, makes payments, provides and facilitates dispute resolution, provides technical advice to the Compliance Forester, and is the first point of contact for questions relating to this contract or interpretation of Work. The Contract Manager may perform the duties of the Compliance Forester.

  • Team Leader means an employee who is in a set or team and who is generally responsible for the work executed by the employees comprising such set or team;

  • Network Provider means a provider of health care, or a group of providers of health care, which has entered into a written agreement with the issuer to provide benefits insured under a Medicare Select policy.

  • Provider is any individual or company that provides professional or technical services.

  • Network pharmacy means any pharmacy that has an agreement to accept our pharmacy allowance for prescription drugs and diabetic equipment/supplies covered under this agreement. All other pharmacies are NON-NETWORK PHARMACIES. The one exception and for the purpose of specialty Prescription Drugs, only specialty pharmacies that have an agreement to accept our pharmacy allowance are network pharmacies and all others pharmacies are non-network pharmacies.

  • Instructor means any person employed by the college to conduct classes.

  • Feedback means input regarding the SAP Products, services, business or technology plans, including, without limitation, comments or suggestions regarding the possible creation, modification, correction, improvement or enhancement of the SAP Products and/or services, or input as to whether Partner believes SAP’s development direction is consistent with their own business and IT needs.

  • Project Manager means the principal employee or agent of the Recipient having administrative authority over the Project designated in Appendix B pursuant to Section VI hereof, or authorized designee as per written notification to the Director.

  • Training manager means the individual responsible for administering a training program and monitoring the performance of principal instructors and guest instructors.

  • Support staff means those staff holding an aircraft maintenance licence under Annex III (Part-66) in category B1, B2 and/or B3 with the appropriate aircraft ratings, working in a base maintenance environment while not necessarily holding certification privileges.
