Active military service definition

Active military service means the performance of active military duty by a member of the uniformed services for a period of more than thirty days.
Active military service means active duty service in any of the United States armed forces, the National Guard, or reserves.

The Parties also acknowledge that USERRA generally obligates NYPD Uniformed Members of Service to provide the NYPD with advance notice of any Active Military Service that they perform or are scheduled to perform, 38 U.S.C. § 4312(a), and that, absent such notice, the NYPD may not have a record that Active Military Service was the reason for a particular absence.
