Accrued Amount definition

Accrued Amount has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1(b) of this Agreement.
Accrued Amount with respect to any portion of a Net Tax Benefit shall equal an amount determined in the same manner as interest on such portion of the Net Tax Benefit for a Taxable Year calculated at the Agreed Rate from the due date (without extensions) for filing the Corporate Taxpayer Return for such Taxable Year until the Payment Date. For the avoidance of doubt, for Tax purposes, the Accrued Amount shall not be treated as interest but shall instead be treated as additional consideration for the acquisition of Units in a Redemption, unless otherwise required by law.
Accrued Amount means, at any date, an amount equal to the sum of (a) all declared and unpaid dividends in respect of completed Quarterly Floating Rate Periods preceding the date fixed for redemption and (b) an amount in cash equal to the then current Floating Quarterly Dividend Rate multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of calendar days that will have elapsed in the then current Quarterly Floating Rate Period as of, but excluding, the then relevant Redemption Date, and the denominator of which is the number of days in the then current Quarterly Floating Rate Period; provided in the case of each of (a) and (b), no amount shall be included in the Accrued Amount that would result in the duplication in payment by the Corporation of the amount of any dividend on the Class 1 Shares Series 16.
