Academic designation definition

Academic designation means one or more of the following when used in conjunction with an academic appointment:

  • The Academic designation for all lands within Specific Provision Area 36 shall exclude complementary uses found within the Academic designation.

  • The height of developments within the Academic designation shall be limited as shown on Schedule ‘B1’ – Height and Density.

  • Commercial, institutional and residential land uses are not contemplated on employment areas, with the exception of the ancillary uses specifically defined in the Employment designations of this Plan and non-employment uses considered in the Academic designation.

  • Makes conforming changes concerning terms and the number of members needed to call a meeting and quorum.

  • The Academic designation shown on Schedule ‘A2’ – Employment Areas is a designation in which the predominant use of land is post- secondary educational institutions.

Related to Academic designation

  • Type designation means a combination of letters and numerals assigned by the Government to a major end item, assembly or subassembly, as appropriate, to provide a convenient means of differentiating between items having the same basic name and to indicate modifications and changes thereto.

  • Series Designation has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 3.03(a).

  • Share Designation has the meaning assigned to such term in ‎Section 3.2(b).

  • Academic Board means the Academic Board of the University College established under paragraph 13;

  • Registered design in this Act shall mean a design for which a design registration has been granted.

  • Academic Unit means an Academic Department, research unit, School, non-departmentalized Faculty, Faculty of Medicine Division, the Fisheries and Marine Institute, the School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies, the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre, or the University Library, to which one (1) or more ASMs have their primary or sole appointment. For Counselling Faculty Members at Xxxxxxxx Campus who are not members of a School, the Academic Unit shall be Xxxxxxxx Campus. For Faculty Members in the Faculty of Medicine who are not members of a Division, the Academic Unit shall be the Faculty.

  • Designation has the meaning set forth in Section 4.16.

  • Unit Designation has the meaning set forth in Section 3.2(b).

  • Natural channel design concepts means the utilization of engineering analysis and fluvial geomorphic processes to create, rehabilitate, restore, or stabilize an open conveyance system for the purpose of creating or recreating a stream that conveys its bankfull storm event within its banks and allows larger flows to access its bankfull bench and its floodplain.

  • Preferred Provider Organization or "PPO" means an entity through which a group of health care providers, such as doctors, hospitals and others, agree to provide specific medical and hospital care and some related services at a negotiated price.

  • Universal design means the design of products, environments, programmes and services to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. “Universal design” shall not exclude assistive devices for particular groups of persons with disabilities where this is needed.

  • Preferred Proponent means the Proponent that is invited into negotiations in accordance with the evaluation process set out in this RFP;

  • Academic Council means the Academic Council of the University;

  • NZOC Nomination and Selection Regulation means the regulation of NZOC relation to the nomination and selection Process for all Olympic and Commonwealth games, including the Games.

  • Joint Development Committee or “JDC” has the meaning set forth in Section 3.10.

  • industrial design means features of shape, configuration, pattern or ornament applied to an article by any industrial process or means, being features which in the finished article appeal to and are judged by the eye, but does not include—

  • Designation Agreement means a designation agreement in substantially the form of Exhibit G attached hereto, entered into by a Bank and a Designated Lender and accepted by the Administrative Agent.
