Academic and Research Purposes definition

Academic and Research Purposes means research, teaching or other scholarly use which is undertaken for the purposes of education and research.

Academic and Research Purposes means participation or involvement in university seminars, tutorials, lectures, projects related to an official academic program including a thesis, PhD dissertation, or final report or Academic Publications;
Academic and Research Purposes means, with respect to MSK, any research purposes and care of patients of MSK, its Affiliates, its network facilities, and clinical trial sites that may participate with MSK in a multicenter clinical trial, and the ability to permit others at academic, government, and not-for-profit institutions to use the Sublicensed Patents solely in the course of research or clinical trials being conducted jointly with MSK.
Academic and Research Purposes means research, teaching or other scholarly use which is undertaken for the purposes of education and research and “Clinical Patient Care” means diagnosing, treating and/or managing the health of persons under the care of an individual having the right to use the Licensed Patent Rights and the Licensed Technology in the event that such Licensed Patent Rights and the Licensed Technology is capable of application in a healthcare setting without further development.

  • Research Use shall have the meaning given in Section 2.2.2 of this Agreement.

  • Research Data means documents in a digital form, other than scientific publications, which are collected or produced in the course of scientific research activities and are used as evidence in the research process, or are commonly accepted in the research community as necessary to validate research findings and results;

  • Research means a methodical investigation into a subject.

  • Academic year means the period of twelve months beginning on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st September according to whether the course in question begins in the winter, the spring, the summer or the autumn respectively but if students are required to begin attending the course during August or September and to continue attending through the autumn, the academic year of the course is to be considered to begin in the autumn rather than the summer;

  • Development Works means the external development works and internal development works on immovable property;

  • Development Services “Target Market”; “Investment Areas”; and “Targeted Populations” have the meanings ascribed to such terms in 12 C.F.R. 1805.104.

  • Research and development facility means an establishment engaged in laboratory, scientific, or experimental testing and development related to new products, new uses for existing products, or improving existing products. The term does not include an establishment engaged in efficiency surveys, management studies, consumer surveys, economic surveys, advertising, promotion, banking, or research in connection with literary, historical, or similar projects.

  • Research and development means (1) theoretical analysis, exploration, or experimentation; or (2) the extension of investigative findings and theories of a scientific or technical nature into practical application for experimental and demonstration purposes, including the experimental production and testing of models, devices, equipment, materials, and processes. Research and development does not include the internal or external administration of radiation or radioactive material to human beings.

  • Research Program has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

  • Collaboration Know-How means all Know-How conceived, discovered, developed or otherwise made by or on behalf of a particular Party or any of its Affiliates or permitted subcontractors of any of the foregoing (solely or jointly by or on behalf of a particular Party or any of its Affiliates or permitted subcontractors of any of the foregoing) in the course of [***].

  • Researcher means a person appointed by us to carry out research into theoperation of this Contract;

  • Development Data means any and all research data, pharmacology data, chemistry, manufacturing and control data, preclinical data, clinical data and all other documentation (including raw data) compiled, developed or generated with respect to the Compound or Product.

  • Development Purposes means using the Software for the specific purpose of (a) developing, (b) single-user prototyping, quality assurance or testing and/or

  • Development Activities means those activities which are normally undertaken for the development, construction, repair, renovation, rehabilitation or conversion of buildings for residential purposes, including the acquisition of property;

  • Development Tools means the development kits, programming tools, emulators and other materials that may be used in the development of Games under this Agreement.

  • Commercialization or “Commercialize” means activities directed to marketing, promoting, research and development as required, manufacturing for sale, offering for sale, distributing, importing or selling a product, including sub-licensing or sub-contracting of these activities.

  • Collaborative practice means that a physician may delegate aspects of drug therapy management for the physician’s patients to an authorized pharmacist through a community practice protocol. “Collaborative practice” also means that a P&T committee may authorize hospital pharmacists to perform drug therapy management for inpatients and hospital clinic patients through a hospital practice protocol.

  • Research License means a nontransferable, nonexclusive license to make and to use the Licensed Products or the Licensed Processes as defined by the Licensed Patent Rights for purposes of research and not for purposes of commercial manufacture or distribution or in lieu of purchase.
