Aboriginal Object definition

Aboriginal Object means an object to which the Aboriginal Heritage Act applies by operation of section 6 of the Aboriginal Heritage Act.
Aboriginal Object means any deposit, object or material evidence (not being a handicraft made for sale) relating to the Aboriginal habitation of the area that comprises New South Wales, being habitation before or concurrent with (or both) the occupation of that area by persons of non-Aboriginal extraction and includes Aboriginal remains.
Aboriginal Object has the same meaning as in Section 5 of the Act; "Aboriginal Place" has the same meaning as in Section 5 of the Act;

Examples of Aboriginal Object in a sentence

  • In respect of any Aboriginal Objects identified: a description of such Aboriginal Objects; the location of any Aboriginal Objects so identified; and the date on which each Aboriginal Object was identified.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, and subject to other statutory requirements, the Activity may continue in areas which are not in the immediate vicinity of the suspected skeletal remains or suspected Aboriginal Site or Aboriginal Object.

  • Aboriginal Heritage means the cultural heritage value of an Aboriginal Site or of an Aboriginal Object.

  • When in the field, and in response to concerns raised by the Yamatji Consultants about an Aboriginal Site or an Aboriginal Object, the representatives of the Government Proponent nominated under clause 10.1(e): shall withdraw from discussion and inspections in order to ensure the confidentiality of Sensitive Heritage Information; and may make modifications to the Activity Program.

  • The parties acknowledge that nothing in this Deed authorises (including, by way of a consent, permit, approval or authorisation of any kind for the purposes of Part 6 of the NPW Act) any person to harm, damage or desecrate an Aboriginal Object or Aboriginal Place in, on or under the Biodiversity Stewardship Site, including any objects or places described in Item G.

"Aboriginal place" means any place declared to be an Aboriginal place under section 84 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 by the Minister administering that Act. "acid sulfate soil planning map" means the map marked "Botany Local Environmental Plan 1995 (Amendment No 24)" kept in the office of the Council. "acid sulfate soils" means actual or potential acid sulfate soils, as defined in the ASS Manual. "Acid Sulfate Soils Assessment Guidelines" means the Acid Sulfate Soils Assessment Guidelines in the ASS Manual. "air freight forwarder" means a building or place used for the assembly, storage or land transport of air freight. "air impurity" includes smoke, dust (including fly ash), cinders, solid particles of any kind, gases, fumes, mists, odours and radioactive substances. "air pollution" means the emission into the air of any air impurity. "airport-related industry" means the manufacturing, assembling, altering, repairing, renovating, ornamenting, finishing, cleaning, washing, dismantling, processing or adapting of any goods or articles for a commercial purpose related to the Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport, but does not include any of the following:
