Credit will be given for full-time teaching experience in public or private schools in compliance with the provisions of the salary schedule. Teachers entering from another system will receive credit for their years of experience. In cases where the candidate has field experience in the respected educational discipline, but not teaching experience, the superintendent shall meet with ABE Bargaining Unit and Board Bargaining Unit to seek approval of advanced salary schedule placement for the candidate.
