Upon BCC approval on June 16th, 2020 the County applied for a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) water and sewer system project construction loan that offered extremely beneficial interest rates. As a result of the application, the County has been awarded a FDEP state revolving fund (SRF) loan to fund the Wastewater System Rehabilitation and Improvements Projects. The payback terms are for 20 years at an average interest rate of approximately 0.18% with a semi-annual payment of $269,878. The future payments are included in the Utility’s annual operating budget, and are an advantageous component of our overall debt structure. The attached resolution approves the terms and conditions of the SRF loan agreement and authorizes the actual execution and delivery of the SRF loan agreement.
