Youth with a Disability. ‌ A youth with a disability is defined as an individual with a disability who is not younger than 14 or older than 24 years. A youth with a disability may or may not be enrolled in school and includes those who may have left or “aged out” of high school. There is no requirement that a “youth with a disability” be participating in an education program. This category may include out-of-school youth as well as at-risk, unserved, and underserved populations, including but not limited to youth in the child welfare/xxxxxx care or juvenile justice system.

Youth with a Disability. For VR purposes is an individual with a disability who is not younger than 14 years of age; and not older than 24 years of age. ● Potentially Eligible - defined in 34CFR361.48(a) as all students with disabilities who satisfy the definition of a student with a disability in 34CFR361.5(c)(51), regardless of whether they have applied, and been determined eligible, for the VR program. ● Transition Services (found in the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by WIOA) - For VR purposes, is defined as a coordinated set of activities for a student or youth with disabilities designed within an outcome-oriented process that promotes movement from school to post-school activities, including postsecondary education, vocational training, competitive, integrated employment, supported employment, continuing and adult education, adult service, independent living, or community participation; based upon the individual student or youth’s needs, taking into account the student or youth’s preferences and interests; that includes instruction in community experiences, the development of employment and other post-school adult living objectives, and, if appropriate, acquisition of daily living skills functional vocational evaluation; that promotes or facilitates the achievement of the employment outcome identified in the student or youth’s individualized plan for employment; and includes outreach to and engagement of the parent, or as appropriate, the representative of such a student or youth with a disability.

  • Disability If, as a result of the Executive's incapacity due to physical or mental illness, the Executive shall have been absent from his duties with the Company on a full-time basis for six months and within 30 days after written notice of termination is thereafter given by the Company the Executive shall not have returned to the full-time performance of the Executive's duties, the Company may terminate this Agreement for "Disability."

  • Duty Disability (1) For Calendar Year 2018, 2019, and 2020 Depending on the individual's single/family enrollment status, the cost of coverage for individuals receiving a duty disability retirement allowance shall be as provided in subsection 3.a.(1) of this Article, above.

  • Illness or Disability If, because of Employee’s illness or other disability for a continuous period of more than 45 days, Employee is unable to render the services required by the Company as provided herein, the Company may terminate Employee’s employment hereunder by written notice to Employee at least 30 days in advance of such termination. Upon such termination Employee shall not be entitled to any further payments of any nature, except for payment of (a) any earned but unpaid Annual Base Salary, (b) any unpaid bonuses and (c) unreimbursed business expenses (collectively, “Payable Amounts”).   • Personal Illness or Disability The bargaining unit member may use all or any portion of his leave to recover from his/her own illness or disability.

  • Death or Disability The Executive's employment shall terminate automatically upon the Executive's death during the Employment Period. If the Company determines in good faith that the Disability of the Executive has occurred during the Employment Period (pursuant to the definition of Disability set forth below), it may give to the Executive written notice in accordance with Section 12(b) of this Agreement of its intention to terminate the Executive's employment. In such event, the Executive's employment with the Company shall terminate effective on the 30th day after receipt of such notice by the Executive (the "Disability Effective Date"), provided that, within the 30 days after such receipt, the Executive shall not have returned to full-time performance of the Executive's duties. For purposes of this Agreement, "Disability" shall mean the absence of the Executive from the Executive's duties with the Company on a full-time basis for 180 consecutive business days as a result of incapacity due to mental or physical illness which is determined to be total and permanent by a physician selected by the Company or its insurers and acceptable to the Executive or the Executive's legal representative.

  • Employees with a Work-related Injury/Disability An employee who was off the State payroll due to a work-related injury or a work-related disability may continue to participate in the Group Insurance Program as long as such an employee receives workers' compensation payments or while the workers' compensation claim is pending.

  • Total Disability (a) Total disability, as used in this Plan, means the complete inability because of an accident or sickness of a covered employee to perform all the duties of his/her own occupation for the first two (2) years of disability. Thereafter, employees able by reason of education, training or experience to perform the duties of a gainful occupation for which the rate of pay is not less than seventy-five percent (75%) of the current rate of pay of their regular occupation at date of disability will not be considered totally disabled and will therefore not be eligible for benefits under this Long Term Disability Plan.

  • Disability Retirement If, as a result of your incapacity due to physical or mental illness, You shall have been absent from the full-time performance of your duties with the Company for 6 consecutive months, and within 30 days after written notice of termination is given You shall not have returned to the full-time performance of your duties, your employment may be terminated for "Disability." Termination of your employment by the Company or You due to your "Retirement" shall mean termination in accordance with the Company's retirement policy, including early retirement, generally applicable to its salaried employees or in accordance with any retirement arrangement established with your consent with respect to You.
