Youth Protection. The Host Organization shall protect event participants using youth protection measures as described in FIRST’s Youth Protection Program Guide (xxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/sites/default/files/uploads/about/FIRST- YPP-ProgramGuide.pdf ), as applicable to the event at which the Loaned Equipment is used.

Youth Protection. The duties of the Director of the Office of Child and Youth Protection include, but are not limited to the following: ▪Oversee the implementation of this Policy on a regular basis. ▪Report regularly to the Xxxxxx and the Review Board about the implementation of this Policy and the progress of individual cases of abuse. ▪Supervise the work of the Victim Assistance Coordinator. ▪Serve as the central information point for child abuse issues among pertinent members of the Diocesan Curia and diocesan attorney. ▪Maintain all records pertaining to child protection and child abuse. ▪Provide staff assistance to the Review Board. ▪Prepare for the annual audit. ▪Communicate to the public, i.e., within the Church community and beyond, the efforts of the Diocese of Joliet to prevent the abuse of minors and to heal past abuse. VICTIM ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR The duties of Victim Assistance Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following: ▪Receive allegations of sexual misconduct against minors and vulnerable adults. ▪Listen with compassion to the experiences and concerns of victims. ▪Advise victims of their right to report to civil authorities and inform them they will be supported in the exercise of that right. ▪Inform the Xxxxxx of allegations including any anonymous allegations or allegations that do not contain sufficient information.
Youth Protection. The SYM strives to create a safe and secure environment for its youth participants. We encourage participants and parents who may have concerns to let us know so we can ensure the issues are addressed. The guidelines and procedures set forth below represent our effort to ensure all SYM leaders, volunteers and youth members understand the expectations of the SYM. All SYM Assemblies are responsible for creating their own Youth Protection Policies and adhering to them; the following guidelines and procedures apply to everyone, including leaders, volunteers and SYM members. Zero Tolerance Policy Against Abuse Abuse of any kind shall not be permitted within our organization. SYM does not tolerate any form of abuse, whether physical, sexual, emotional or verbal, or any other misconduct from our leaders, volunteers or youth members. Physical or sexual abuse is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, striking, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, indecent gesturing, lewd remarks, indecent exposure, unwanted physical contact, any form of sexual contact or inappropriate touching, innuendo or suggestions. Emotional or verbal abuse is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of foul, demeaning, threatening or bullying language or making abusive statements about a person’s race, gender, religion, nationality, color, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic. Barriers to Abuse Every activity sponsored by the SYM should be monitored to ensure no youth or group of youth is alone without an SYM leader or other approved adult. Unless an emergency exists, no adult shall take a youth alone to bathrooms or any other secluded setting. When traveling with youth participants, youth should be paired with other youth of the same gender and similar age group. Sleeping, bathing and clothes-changing accommodations must respect the privacy of the youth. Youth shall be empowered to trust their feelings, and SYM leaders and volunteers shall make clear that their concerns are important by listening to them. Open communication between youth and parents or between youth and other adults in the organization may help reveal early warning signs of abuse. Mandatory Reporting of Abuse Part of your leadership responsibility is to be alert to any activity or condition that could threaten the safety of our youth. Youth Protection. A comprehensive approach to Youth Protection has been established for the sake of our youth. On line Training is available and periodic training may be held by the Troop. Youth Protection Training teaches us that we use 2 DEEP LEADERSHIP in Scouting. No Scout will be alone with any Adult who is not their Parent or Guardian EVER. We will strive to keep our Youth within our sight and sound. • All Youth in Troop 423 are REQUIRED to participate in Youth Protection Training. • All Adults participating in ANY Troop 423 Activity are REQUIRED to have Youth Protection. That includes but is not limited to outings, camping, volunteer activities, merit badge counseling, etc.

  • ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH PROTECTION (a) Seller shall perform this Agreement in a manner that ensures adequate protection for workers, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for actions of itself and its lower-tier subcontractors, agents and employees. Seller shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. Seller shall ensure that management of environment, safety and health (ES&H) functions and activities is an integral and visible part of Seller’s work planning and execution process.   • Wage Protection Wage protection will apply to regular employees hired prior to April 1, 2004, who have a pay rate greater than the Step 4 rate in Appendix A (Wage Grid), unless the employee successfully posts into a lower classification. Wage protection will apply to casual employees hired prior to April 1, 2004, who are paid at Step 4 of the classification in which the casual employee is working [see Appendix A (Wage Grid)]. Effective April 1, 2013, an employee with wage protection will receive 50% of all general wage increases until the new wage rate for their classification meets or exceeds their existing wage rate. Such increases shall be recognized as incumbent specific. Wage protection applies to:  additional straight-time hours worked by a regular full-time and regular part-time employee as per Clause 14.2(e) (Hours of Work) in their classification;  overtime hours in the employee's classification;  statutory holidays/annual vacation pay/sick leave; and  assignment of regular hours as per Clause 24.1(c) (Job Postings) in the employee's classification. Wage protection rates do not apply to:  additional straight-time hours worked by a regular full-time and regular part-time employee as per Clause 14.2(e) (Hours of Work) in a classification other than the employee's own. In such circumstances, they will be paid at Step 4 of the classification in which the employee is working. An employee will lose their wage protection (status) rates:  if they post to a different classification prior to April 1, 2013;  when they are demoted by the Employer as a result of disciplinary action;  when regular employees achieve a casual position except where it is a temporary assignment directed by the Employer;  when they bump under layoff provisions into a different job family or into a different grid level.
