Xxxx-Term Disability. The Board shall provide MESSA Long Term Disability insurance for each teacher. Benefits shall begin upon termination of the teacher’s sick leave or after ninety (90) calendar days, whichever is greater and continue at sixty percent (60%) of the teacher’s monthly salary to age sixty-five (65). A teacher’s “monthly salary” shall be determined by dividing the teacher annual salary by twelve (12). The teacher’s annual salary shall include all the salary and pay provided by Article XVII, including longevity pay, supplementary salary schedule amounts, etc. The LTD policy shall include the following features:

Xxxx-Term Disability. Effective January 1, 2021, the City shall provide a Long-Term Disability (LTD) Plan to employees in the unit that provides disability payments to employees in accordance with Appendix H
Xxxx-Term Disability. 1. If the disability continues and the long-term income disability insurance carrier (TIAA) approves the disability claim, long-term income disability benefits will be paid starting the first of the month following six (6) months of continuous disability. The benefits will be paid as long as the disability continues or until the affected individual retires, but in any case not beyond age 65. However, if the disability commences after the Employee reaches age sixty (60), the benefits will continue for five (5) years or until the Employee reaches age seventy (70), whichever occurs first.
Xxxx-Term Disability. The School Board shall provide, at no expense to employee long-term disability insurance covering non-work related accident and illness to commence on the 180th day of such illness or injury at sixty-six and two thirds percent (66 2/3%) of the employee’s basic salary without deductions.   • Long Term Disability The Employer agrees to provide Long Term Disability benefits for active full-time employees after fifty-two (52) weeks if an Employee is unable to perform any occupation (reasonably suited by means of training, education or experience). The Plan will provide for sixty-six and two thirds percent (66 2/3%) of an Employee's basic monthly earnings to a maximum of $1,500.00. Coverage would cease the date an Employee attains normal retirement age.

  • Long Term Disability (LTD 4.7.1 The school board shall cooperate in the administration of the LTD Plan. It is understood that administration means that the school board will co-operate with the enrolment and deduction of premiums and provide available necessary data to the insurer, upon request. The school board will remit premiums collected to the carrier on behalf of the teachers.

  • Long Term Disability Plan The Welfare Plan will include a Long Term Disability Plan summarized in Appendix “2”.

  • Short Term Disability The Employer agrees to provide Short Term Disability benefits to all active full-time employees from the first (1st) day of an accident or the first (1st) full-time day of hospitalized or the fourth (4th) day of sickness. The Plan will pay sixty-six and two thirds percent (66 2/3%) of basic earnings for the first two (2) weeks, then Unemployment Insurance will pay fifteen (15) weeks, then the Plan will resume payments for thirty-five (35 weeks).

  • Long Term Disability Benefits A benefit level of seventy percent (70%) of monthly earnings shall apply. Benefits would commence after a waiting period of seventeen (17) weeks, when Short Term Disability Benefits terminate. Terms of the Master Policy with the Insurance Company shall apply.   • Long Term Disability Benefit In the event an employee, while covered under this plan, becomes totally disabled as a result of an accident or a sickness, then, after the employee has been totally disabled for seven (7) months, including periods approved in Section 1.3(a) and (c), he/she shall be eligible to receive a monthly benefit as follows:

  • Short Term Disability Benefits Paragraph 1: The Board shall provide short term disability benefits as set forth in the Short Term Disability Summary Plan Description. Short term disability benefits for disabilities resulting from non-occupational illness or injury, shall be paid at the rate of 70% of the teacher’s regular daily rate, subject to all applicable deductions. A teacher may choose to save up to five (5) accumulated temporary leave days. Following the exhaustion of temporary leave, there is a five day waiting period before short term disability benefits begin. The five day waiting period will be waived for absences greater than 30 calendar days and short term disability payments shall be paid retroactively.
