Xxxx Leave Pool. There is hereby established a pool of sick leave days for use by contributing professional employees. Said sick leave pool shall be used in the event of prolonged illness or disability and will be implemented as follows:
Xxxx Leave Pool. 1. Each employee who wishes to become a member of the sick leave pool shall contribute one (1) day of ten (10) for school year employees and one (1) day of twelve (12) for year round employees of annual entitlement of sick leave to the sick leave pool on September 1 of each year. This contribution shall reduce the school year employee's annual entitlement to nine (9) days and the year round employee's annual entitlement to eleven (11) days. The maximum number of days in the pool allowed shall be one hundred twenty-five (125) days. When a participant uses up accumulated sick leave, the participant may draw on the sick leave pool. Any days remaining in the pool at the end of the year shall be carried forward up to the amount necessary to increase individual employee sign-up total to the aforesaid one hundred twenty-five (125) days. The Superintendent shall provide the Association with an annual report of days carried forward.
Xxxx Leave Pool. In the event that a unit member has been subject to unnecessary hardship as a result of illness caused by sickness, accident, etc., the Superintendent shall exercise the following policy: A sick leave pool, consisting of 200 days per school year, shall be made available by the Board to members making application therefore, for the purpose of extending the number of sick days allowed to such unit member, subject to the following: --A committee composed of three (3) faculty members appointed each September by the President of the Federation and three (3) Board and/or administration personnel, or a combination appointed by the Superintendent, shall administer the sick leave pool. --As soon as practical after appointment, the joint committee shall establish and make known to the unit members, rules and regulations to govern the procedures to be followed by the committee so as to establish so far as possible, a uniform course of conduct.
Xxxx Leave Pool. Full-time faculty members who have completed one full year of employment and have at least ten (10) days (seventy hours) of accrued sick leave at the time of the enrollment period for the Pool are eligible to voluntarily participate in the College’s Sick Leave Pool. Participating faculty members shall contribute both initially and at any time replenishment of the Pool is required. Use of the Sick Leave Pool shall be limited to the individual employee’s personal illness, accident or injury and shall be subject to the exhaustion of all other earned sick leave. Use of the Sick leave Pool shall, at all times, be contingent upon availability of sick leave days in the Pool. Participating faculty members who resign, retire, or terminate employment, or choose to cancel membership in the Sick Leave Pool shall not be eligible to withdraw any sick leave days that have been contributed to the Pool.   • Sick Leave Pool a. The Sick Leave Pool is intended to provide security to supplement other insurance benefits by allowing employees to "buy" insurance for extended illness, or other disability. Pool Days may be used to "make an employee whole" if disability or Workers' Compensation benefits are less than normal base pay. When "buying" Pool Days, employees convert Earned Time days on a 1:3 basis. Similar to purchasing insurance, the employee may pick a given number of days to exchange for coverage in case of extended disability.

  • Uniformed Service Shared Leave Pool Eligible state employees may donate leave to the uniformed services shared leave pool for use by state employees who have been called to active duty in one of the uniformed services of the United States.   • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.

  • Vacation Leave Maximum Employees may accumulate maximum vacation leave balances not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum:

  • Maternity Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for maternity leave pursuant to Clause 26.01, shall be paid a maternity leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan, as set out in Letter of Understanding #1. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof that the employee has applied for and is eligible to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for maternity leave allowance.

  • Extended Unpaid Maternity Leave (a) An employee is entitled to apply for leave without pay following Maternity Leave (“extended unpaid Maternity Leave”) to extend their leave by up to two years.

  • Excessive leave accruals request by employee for leave

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
