Workshop Presentations. Employees will receive additional pay for reasonable preparation time and for presentation of workshops in their areas of expertise at the rate paid to Studio Technicians for “original technical instruction”.

Workshop Presentations. If a staff member makes a presentation as part of the Professional Development Program, a fee of $30.00 per hour is to be paid for each hour of preparation time equal to each hour of presentation time. If multiple presenters are needed, the fee will be divided. Subsequent presentations of the same workshop, by the same presenter, will be compensated at a rate of 1 hour ($30.00 per hour) of preparation time for every 2 hours of presentation time.
Workshop Presentations. The workshop focused on the opportunities and challenges in the revitalization and communication of industrial heritage sites. Revitalization of such sites typically requires realizing new forms of usage such as facilities for cultural organizations (museums, galleries, etc.) and workspaces for creative industry businesses. After the opening address of Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx (University of Coimbra), in the first section of the workshop three presentations were given: Xxxxxx Xxxxx, architect, heritage consultant and Europa Nostra Council member, presented several private-public partnership models which were used successfully for safeguarding and managing industrial heritage sites. These models included: • Public authorities supporting civil society groups to carry out conservation and regeneration work on their urban heritage sites (Amsterdam, Newcastle); • Public authorities being flexible concerning adapted re-use of historic buildings (Westergasfabriek Amsterdam, Stadtforum Leipzig HausHalten); • Visionary developers and municipalities upgrading historic settings with contemporary architecture (MAS Antwerp, Oliaros in KM Athens); • Giving back to society through creative funding mechanisms (Dutch BankGiro Lottery grants, Greek Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation museums). Among the various models particularly novel funding mechanisms such as the Dutch BankGiro Lottery grants or “crowd sourcing” of financial contributions caught the attention of the workshop participants. According to Xxxxx, revitalized industrial heritage complexes can contribute to the regeneration of their surrounding neighborhoods and to the prosperity of cities as a whole. Therefore heritage regeneration projects need to be financed and carried out considering the effects on the larger city landscape. Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxx (Xxxxx-Xxxxxx-Zentrum für Metropolenforschung, Humboldt-Universität Berlin) presented four cases of industrial heritage sites in the context of urban transformation: ex-Falck Area in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan), Italy; Sulzer Areal in Winterthur (Switzerland); Liverpool waterfront (UK), and Zeche Zollverein, Essen (Germany). These sites are considered as exemplary concerning there functions as: • heritage sites citizens feel a strong attachment to, • new locations for culture and creative industries, and • development motors with positive effects on the urban landscape.   • ORAL PRESENTATIONS/INTERVIEWS In connection with any SOW RFP, Contractor and proposed employees, independent contractors or agents of Contractor may be required to make an oral presentation to State or Agency representatives. Significant representations made by a Contractor during the oral presentation shall be submitted in writing. All material representations acceptable to the State shall be incorporated in any applicable SOW Agreement. The Agency will notify Contractor of the time and place of oral presentations.

  • Presentations In the event the Prime is afforded the opportunity to make presentations, whether orally or in writing, to potential customers concerning the Procurement, the content of such presentations may, at the Prime’s discretion, be made known to the Subcontractor, subject to any prohibitions or restrictions that may be imposed by the Government upon such disclosure.   • Workshops During the month of September or October of each year during the term of this Agreement, there shall be held at each University a workshop for Department Chairs at which will be discussed their roles and responsibilities as such.   • SUPPLIER PUBLICATIONS 4.1 Any marketing materials in relation to this Framework Agreement that that Supplier produces must comply in all respects with the Branding Guidance. The Supplier will periodically update and revise such marketing materials.

  • Publications All published material and written reports submitted under the Contract must be originally developed material unless otherwise specifically provided in the Contract. When material not originally developed is included in a report in any form, the source shall be identified.

  • Presentation for Scaling Purchaser shall present products so that they may be Scaled in an eco- nomical and safe manner. If prior to Scaling, Included Timber is to be mixed with other timber, Purchaser shall, prior to mixing, provide for distinguishing, by means ap- proved by Forest Service, each product included in this contract. Trees or pieces presented for Scaling that have not been bucked to separate material meeting minimum piece standards from material not meeting minimum piece standards due to diameter, shall be Scaled as though such bucking had been done. Deductions made for rot, check, or other defects re- sulting from abnormal delay in Scaling caused by Pur- chaser shall be recorded separately and charged to Xxx- ber Sale Account under B3.47. Any timber that has been removed from Sale Area during the period of this contract, but remains unscaled after Termination Date, shall be Scaled at the earliest rea- sonable date.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Directory Publication Nothing in this Agreement shall require Verizon to publish a directory where it would not otherwise do so.

  • Promotional Examinations All promotional examinations shall be competitive and shall be conducted in the same manner as open examinations except that admission to a promotional examination shall be restricted to persons in the employ of the County who have served at least six months following regular appointment to the classified service and who meet the published requirements for the examination. The Commission shall determine whether an examination shall be held on a promotional or open basis. 1492 Disposition of Papers and Records Prescribed application forms of persons who fail to appear for the written test and examination records of candidates who fail to qualify in the written test shall be destroyed at any time after thirty days from the date of promulgation of the eligible list. Examination records of candidates who qualify in an examination shall be retained during the life of the eligible list or for 15 months, whichever is longer, and the examination records of each appointee shall be filed in his/her permanent personnel folder. Following the period during which competitors may inspect their examination papers, and after their ratings in each part of the examination have been transferred to examination records, examination materials such as question booklets, answer sheets and work papers may be destroyed, but general qualification appraisal sheets and applications shall be retained at least 15 months from the date of the promulgation of the eligible list.   • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.
