Workload Committee. The Superintendent and GCEA shall form an advisory workload committee to discuss workload-related issues. This committee shall be comprised of five (5) employees bargaining unit members appointed by the GCEA President and five (5) employees (either bargaining unit members or administrative employees) appointed by the Superintendent. Not later than January 31st of each calendar year, the committee should make non-binding written recommendations to the Superintendent for potential action.

Workload Committee. The parties recognize that the general question of workload has to be addressed on an ongoing basis in order to deal with the problems related to workload. The parties agree to establish a joint committee of two (2) members selected by the Union, and two (2) members selected by the Employer, to review workload issues and other related matters. The Workload Committee will be a sub-committee of the Labour-Management Committee, and members of the Committee shall suffer no loss of salary while carrying out their functions. In addition, the Employer shall be responsible for all other associated expenses as per the collective agreement. The Committee shall meet within thirty (30) calendar days upon the request of either party. Workload issues shall be an ongoing concern of the Committee. The Committee shall refer unresolved matters and make recommendations to the Labour-Management Committee for resolve.
Workload Committee. 1. A Workload Committee shall be established for the purpose of making recommendations to address identified workload issues requiring systemic solutions. Prior to presentation to the committee, bargaining unit members will provide the supervisor reasonable notification of the workload issue and opportunity to resolve the concern. The Superintendent’s Office will also be notified.

The Committee will consist of three (3) line staff appointed by FOPPO, the Assistant Director (or his/her designee) and two (2) staff appointed by Management. Additional staff may be invited to present on particular topics at the Workload Committee meetings. Any staff person wishing to present an issue may be placed on the Workload Committee agenda. Time spent on the Committee shall take place on work time without loss of pay. The Workload Committee will have authority to address the following general areas:
