Working Through Breaks. Employees required to work through a regular lunch period or rest period will be given time to eat or rest at a time agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. In the event the District requires an employee to forego a lunch period or rest period and the employee works the entire shift, including the lunch or rest period, the employee will be compensated for the foregone period at the overtime rate.

Working Through Breaks. In order to maximize productivity, the Company may schedule breaks so as to operate packaging and warehouse continuously, provided sufficient positions and trained employees are available.
Working Through Breaks. In order to maximize productivity, the Company may schedule breaks so as to operate production continuously provided sufficient relief positions are posted and sufficient relief employees are available. Reporting To Work Employees must be notified before quitting time if they are not to report for work the next day. If they are not notified and report for work, then they shall be paid for the whole day. Employees called for work for less than half a day shall receive not less then one-half day’s wages. Employees who request permission to leave early or who agree to leave early because of a temporary reduced departmental workload shall be paid for the time worked only. In the event that more than one employee makes such a request, seniority shall be the governing factor in receiving the Company’s approval.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Work Breaks All employees covered by this agreement shall be permitted ten (10) minutes in the first half and ten (10) minutes in the second half of a shift for a coffee break on the job during regular working hours. If extended overtime is required, additional coffee breaks shall be permitted during such overtime after each two (2) hours following the conclusion of each overtime meal break. However, for a compressed work week schedule, employees shall be permitted a break of fifteen (15) minutes in the first half and fifteen (15) minutes in the second half of such shifts.

  • Working Alone (a) Where an employee is employed under conditions which present a significant hazard of disabling injury, and when the employee might not be able to secure assistance in the event of an injury or other misfortunes, the Employer shall provide a means of periodically checking the well being of the employee. Checks shall be made at such intervals and by such means as are appropriate to the nature, hazard and circumstances of the employment.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).
