Working Holidays. Because the Hospital operates every day of the year and it is not possible for all employees to be off duty on the same day, the County has the right at its sole discretion to require any employee to work on any of the holidays listed in Section 6.1 of this Article. Any employee who works on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1½) times the employee's regular hourly rate for the hours actually worked plus holiday pay at eight (8) hours pay, including shift premium, if applicable, at the same hourly rate. Health care professionals shall have the option to receive payment at the above applicable rate or to be given a compensatory day off. In scheduling holidays to work, the County shall:
Working Holidays. Employees working on a holiday will be compensated at 1½ times their regular hourly rate of pay. If the normal shift starts on a day that is not a holiday and ends on a day that is a holiday, the hourly rate does not change.
Working Holidays. Any classified employee who works on a designated holiday will receive time and one-half pay for the hours worked plus a full day's pay for the holiday unless the employee requests an exchange for a normal workday whereas the rate of pay will be the regular amount. However, additional overtime or compensatory time for custodians who have weekend work assignments will not apply because these considerations have been included in the formula for determining the weekend salary.
Working Holidays. 1. When an employee is required to work on a day observed as his/her holiday, he/she shall be compensated eight (8), ten (10), or twelve (12) hours straight time pay, dependent on work day assignment, as holiday pay. In addition, the employee shall receive one and one-half (1 1/2) times his/her straight time hourly rate for all hours worked up to eight (8), ten (10), or twelve (12) hours, and two and one-half (2 1/2) times his/her straight time hourly rate for all hours worked on the holiday over eight (8), ten (10), or twelve (12) hours.
Working Holidays. Any eligible employee who is required to work on a designated holiday shall be paid at a rate of One and One-Half (1 ½) times his or her normal hourly rate, as determined by this Agreement, for all hours actually worked on a holiday. In addition, the employee shall receive holiday pay as provided in Section 13.4.
Working Holidays. Employees may, at the Employer’s discretion, be required to work on any of the recognized holidays. Employees who are required to work on holidays shall be paid their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday in addition to holiday pay. The provisions of this Section shall not apply to on-call time which is scheduled on a holiday.

Working Holidays. (a) Employees (with the exception of on-call workers who receive additional pay for on-call work), who are required to work a holiday as defined in Section N-1(a) and further clarified in Section N-3, shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1.5) their normal hourly rate of pay for any increment of 15 minutes or more actually worked on the day the holiday is observed by WMCMH. In addition, such employees will also receive a contribution of time to their PTO bank equal to the time they actually worked on the holiday as observed by WMCMH. In the event that the employee’s PTO bank balance is at the limit of 480 hours, a separate accounting of the PTO hours earned by working a holiday will be kept by Payroll. These PTO hours would be the first PTO hours used by the employee in order to clear this separate accounting.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Work on Holidays An employee who is required to work, or works with prior approval, any part of a holiday shall receive holiday compensatory time for up to eight (8) hours, on an hour for hour basis, for the actual non-overtime hours worked in addition to their regular rate of pay. An employee who works overtime on a holiday shall be compensated in accordance with all applicable pay and overtime provisions. An employee must use holiday compensatory time within one (1) year after having accrued that time.

  • Overtime Holidays Double time the regular rate for work on the following holiday(s). New Year's Day

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.

  • Vacation/Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.
