Worker's Compensation Laws. If this Contract be of such a character that the employees engaged thereon are required to be insured by the provisions of the New York Worker's Compensation Law, and acts amendatory thereto, the same shall be void and of no effect unless the Seller shall secure compensation for the benefit of, and keep insured during the life of this Contract such employees in compliance with the provisions of said law.

Worker's Compensation Laws. 7.71 Whenever a teacher is absent from the teacher’s employment and unable to perform the teacher’s duties as a result of a personal injury caused by an accident or assault occurring in the course of the teacher’s employment and receives Workers' Compensation payments for such absence, the teacher will be paid sick benefits in lieu of wages during the teacher’s absence from the teacher’s employment up to a period of seven (7) months. Sick benefits are defined as being that amount which represents the difference between Workers' Compensation, payments in regular salary and includes any other benefits or emoluments redounding to the benefit of the employee under the existing Agreement. Days allowed for absence due to injury suffered on school premises or in line of duty covered by Workers' Compensation shall not be deducted from sick time allowance. In the event of a work related accident, the unit member shall immediately notify the school nurse and, as soon as practicable, the member’s immediate supervisor.

  • Workers’ Compensation The Contractor acknowledges the State of California requires every employer to be insured against liability for workers’ compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code. If Contractor has employees, a copy of the certificate evidencing such insurance, a letter of self-insurance, or a copy of the Certificate of Consent to Self-Insure shall be provided to County prior to commencement of work.

  • Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance The Contractor shall have in effect during the entire life of this Agreement Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance providing full statutory coverage.
