Worked Holidays. In the event an employee covered by this Agreement is required to work on any holiday, they shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 ½ ) their straight time rate of pay, exclusive of all premiums, in addition to their holiday pay if applicable. No employee shall be deemed to have been “required to work” on a holiday within the meaning of this Section if they are absent from work for any reason, including illness, on such holiday.
