Work Week and Overtime Provisions. Section 1. The regular work week shall consist of five (5 ) days of not less than eight (8) hours each, between 7:00 A.M. and 5:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, inclusive. A work day (day or night shift) shall consist of not less than eight (8) hours consecutive except for a lunch period not to exceed one (1) hour. Employees working on shifts starting after 10:00 A.M. shall be considered a night shift and shall receive 10% additional to the regular wage scale as set out in this Agreement. However, the regular work week of 40 hours shall be reduced to 32 hours whenever one of the spe­ cified holidays occurs or is celebrated therein, and the regular work week of an individual employee shall be reduced by eight hours for each day in the work week where the employee is absent with the consent of the Employer.

M. and 11:30 P. M. shall receive fifteen per cent (15%) additional to the regular w age scale, not to exceed forty-five cents (450) per hour. However, no second shift shall start after 5:00 P. M. and no third shift shall start after 11:30 P. M.   • WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME Section 1. The normal work week will consist of forty (40) hours. Department management will establish the work week and hours of work best suited to meet the needs of the Department and provide superior service to the community. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per week.

  • Overtime Provisions (a) Time worked as an extension to the regular scheduled shift or time worked in a bi-weekly pay period that is in excess of seventy-five (75) hours shall be compensated at a rate of one and one-half times (1½ x) the Nurse’s regular hourly rate for the overtime worked. A Nurse who works in excess of four (4) hours overtime in any one day shall be compensated at a rate of two times (2 x) the Nurse’s regular hourly rate for the overtime worked.

  • General Leave Provisions 21.1.1 Except where explicitly noted in Article 00 Xxxxx Xxxxx, the Employer may implement, modify, or eliminate the leaves of absence as outlined in this Article and consistent with all state and federal leave requirements.   • HOURS AND OVERTIME 3:1 A workweek is defined as seven (7) consecutive calendar days, from Saturday midnight to Saturday midnight. The basic workweek shall consist of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours each and shall begin Monday and run through Friday, except when a job other than for a public utility is to be done on Saturday, then the Company may assign another day as a non-workday and Saturdays becomes a workday in the basic workweek. An extended workweek shall begin at starting time Monday and continue until the next Monday starting time. The regular hours of work for all employees shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes which normally will be from 12:00 noon to 12:30 p.m. provided, however, that the regular lunch period may be advance or delayed an hour or less when work must necessarily be performed during the regular lunch period. Such a change in the lunch period shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime. The regular hours of work may be changed by the Company at the request or direction of the public utility or governmental authorities, and by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union. The Company may change the start times by 30 minutes in either direction of the regular start time to meet the operational need without union approval. Such a change in the regular hours of work shall not be deemed to require the payment of overtime.

  • Hours of Work and Scheduling Provisions (b) In the event an Employee is scheduled to work on the evening or night Shift(s) on the day(s) or the night Shift commencing on the day(s) on which the Employee is called as a juror or witness in matters arising out of the Employee’s employment with the Employer, the Employee shall be granted a leave of absence for those scheduled Shift(s).

  • Other Leave Provisions 1. The Board shall provide a substitute for those who serve on jury duty, National Guard and Reserve military duty, and who are subpoenaed to participate in court proceedings in which they are not involved as a party litigant or have an interest in the outcome of the proceeding. The Board shall pay the difference between compensation (excluding a travel allowance) for jury duty and the teacher’s salary if such duty is during teacher employment days.
