WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS OF WORK. A. A workday shall consist of eight (8) hours, not including lunchtime. The lunchtime must be adjusted to the building schedule, but shall be from four (4) to six (6) hours after the beginning of the workday. A work shift commencing at 1:00 p.m. or after, but before 1:00 a.m. shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours, including one-half (1/2) hour lunchtime. If a situation arises that requires the custodian to take his/her lunchtime within the building, he/she will be paid for his/her lunchtime. The determination as to whether the custodian is required to stay in the building will be determined by the building administrator.

WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS OF WORK. 7.1 Work Hours‌ Generally, between eight (8) or twelve (12) hours of consecutive work will constitute a shift during a regular workday. However, shifts of four (4) hours may be scheduled. The regular workweek shall commence on Sunday at 0001 and will end on Saturday at 2400 hours. The work schedule will be published as a rolling schedule. The schedule will show at all times a minimum of fourteen (14) workdays. The outbound week of the schedule will be published no later than midnight on Wednesday of each week. Every Employee shall receive a minimum of eight (8) hours in between scheduled shifts. For example: an Employee is scheduled to work from 1400 to 2200, the Employee shall not be required to return to guard mount until at least 0600 on the following day. Compliance with this section is not required in the event of an emergency, or if the Employee chooses to work by coming in early or staying after his or her scheduled shift.
WORK SCHEDULE AND HOURS OF WORK. Section 14.1 The UNION agrees that if there is a need for the COMPANY to have shift hours in the range from 8 to 12 hours, or odd hour shifts, such shifts will be offered on a bid basis, however it is agreed and understood the COMPANY will not establish more than ten (10) odd hour posts or split shifts, except in the event of an extreme emergency, unless directed by the Client in writing. Further, no full-time employee will be laid off as a result of the introduction of such schedule(s). See Article XII, Overtime. Time spent participating in required training will be considered "hours worked" for purposes of the FLSA standard. If an officer participates in approved training, but does not exceed eighty­ six hours worked in the fourteen-day period, the officer will be compensated at his/her regular rate of pay for the first six (6) hours of training.

  • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors.
