Work Option. In the alternative, the Employer may require the employee to begin his or her their next regularly scheduled shift at the normal start time. If this occurs, the employee will be compensated at his/her their regular rate of pay for the amount of time worked during the 10-hour period immediately preceding the employee’s next regularly scheduled shift following the shortened rest period. This compensation shall be in addition to the employee’s normal compensation for all hours worked at the applicable pay rate. Neutral — this change clarifies the intent of the language.
Work Option. If unforeseen working conditions won't allow employees to use all their accrued vacation each year following their anniversary date, the Employer will allow not more than two (2) weeks to be carried over into the next year where it must be used or it will be lost.

  • Work Unit A work unit shall mean all those employees within a given title and department who have a common place of reporting except that employees within a single title performing distinctly different job duties shall not be grouped together. EXAMPLE: Different groups of Service Technicians having the same place of reporting but who work in different departments, or who are divided into installation and repair forces at a particular place of reporting, will be considered as separate work units in the application of this procedure.

  • Work Plan Coordinate a work plan including a list of the proposed meetings and coordination activities, and related tasks to be performed, a schedule and an estimate. The work plan must satisfy the requirements of the project and must be approved by the State prior to commencing work.

  • Work Space Adjunct faculty shall be provided with the opportunity to utilize general common area office space on each campus in order to meet students and to prepare and store instructional materials. As individual colleges and continuing education campuses expand and renovate existing facilities, they shall include adjunct faculty work areas in the formulation of their space allocation plans. Such work areas shall include at a minimum: a work station or table, a chair, a visitor’s chair, nearby access to a phone, nearby access to a computer with internet and District network access, nearby access to a printer, and campus access to a scanner. Individual colleges shall consider adjunct faculty work areas in the formulation of their space allocation plans.

  • Xxxxx of Work The Contractor shall provide information technology (IT) independent verification and validation (IV&V) services to Customers in accordance with this Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall provide the professional and technical staff necessary to perform the ((IT) IV&V services required by this Contract, and the staff shall have sufficient skill and experience to perform the services assigned to them. All of the (IT) IV&V services to be furnished by the Contractor under the Contract shall meet the professional standard and quality that prevail among IT professionals in the same discipline and of similar knowledge and skill engaged in related work under the same or similar circumstances. The Contractor shall maintain during the term of the Contract all licenses, permits, qualifications, insurance, and approvals of whatever nature that are legally required to perform the (IT) IV&V services.

  • Work Site Work site shall be defined as a college campus or any other place designated by management where instruction and/or services are performed.

  • Work Load The professional obligation of academic employees comprises both scheduled and non-scheduled activities. The Guild and the District recognize that it is part of the professional responsibility of faculty to carry out their duties in an appropriate manner and place. As part of this responsibility faculty are expected to play an important role in the recruitment and retention of students, campus and departmental governance, program review, accreditation, planning and mentoring. Faculty commitment to retention will be demonstrated by informing students that they are to talk with the instructor prior to dropping the course. Faculty are encouraged to include a statement to this effect in their course syllabi. While it is understood that course syllabi content falls within the purview of the individual faculty member’s academic freedom, the parties also understand that items required to be part of syllabi in order to maintain college or continuing education accreditation must also be included. Tenured/tenure-track faculty who have less than a full-time contract are not eligible to work any additional assignments including long-term substitution (day-to-day substitution is allowed provided the limits specified in Section 5.2.1.3 are not exceeded). Faculty assignments shall be made in the following priority order: Tenured/tenure-track, pro- rata, overload, Priority of Assignment (POA) adjunct faculty assignments, then non-POA adjunct faculty.

  • COMMENCEMENT OF WORKS Amend Sub-Clause 41.1 as follows: Delete the words “as soon as is reasonably possible” in the first sentence and replace with “within the period stated in the Appendix to Bid”.
