Common use of Work on Holidays Clause in Contracts

Work on Holidays. Regular full-time and regular less than full-time employees eligible for overtime who are required to work on a paid assigned holiday shall be paid in cash at one and one-half their regular rate of pay for hours actually worked between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 12:00 midnight of the holiday, in addition to receiving straight time payment for said holidays. Such straight time pay shall not exceed the number of hours usually scheduled on that day, and shall in no case exceed twelve (12) hours. Any such employee whose regularly scheduled day off falls on a paid assigned holiday, shall be credited with vacation leave hours equivalent to the employee’s standard daily work schedule, but credit shall in no case exceed twelve (12) hours.
