Common use of Work Made for Hire Clause in Contracts

Work Made for Hire. The Executive agrees that in the event of publication by the Executive of written or graphic materials constituting “work made for hire,” as defined and used in the Copyright Act of 1976, 17 USC § 1 et seq., the Employer Entities will retain and own all rights in said materials, including right of copyright.

Work Made for Hire. The Executive agrees recognizes and understands that in Executive’s duties at the event Employer may include the preparation of publication by the Executive of materials, including without limitation written or graphic materials, and that any such materials constituting conceived or written by Executive shall be done as “work made for hire,” as defined and used in the Copyright Act of 1976, 17 USC U.S.C. §§ 1 et seq.. In the event of publication of such materials, Executive understands that since the work is a “work made for hire”, the Employer Entities will solely retain and own all rights in said materials, including right of copyright.
