Common use of Work Force Clause in Contracts

Work Force. 17.1 Any vacancy or newly created position will be posted in a conspicuous place in the department where the vacancy or new position is, and where employees within the bargaining unit work. Such notice shall be posted for at least five (5) work days prior to the filling of such vacancy or newly created position. Employees with the same classification, excluding intermittent employees, may bid on such vacancy or newly created position by submitting written application prior to the expiration date of the posting.
