Width. 6.7.4.1.1. The minimum width at the child-restraint straps which contact the dummy shall be 25 mm. These dimensions shall be measured during the strap strength test prescribed in paragraph 7.2.5.1. below, without stopping the machine and under a load equal to 75 per cent of the breaking load of the strap.
Width. 6.2.3.1.1. an independent passing lamp may be installed above, below or to one side of another front lamp: if these lamps are one above the other the reference centre of the passing lamp must be located within the medium longitudinal plane of the vehicle; if these lamps are side by side their reference centre must be symmetrical in relation to the median longitudinal plane of the vehicle.
Width. For passenger car tyre rims (C1 tyres), the test rim width shall be the same as the measuring rim determined in ISO 4000-1: 2010 clause 6.2.2.
Width. Except as provided in paragraph 6.9.5.1. that point on the illuminating surface which is farthest from the vehicle´s median longitudinal plane shall be not more than 400 mm from the extreme outer edge of the vehicle. The distance between the inner edges of the two illuminating surfaces shall be not less than 500 mm. This distance may be reduced to 400 mm where the overall width of the vehicle is less than 1,400 mm.
Width. The standard roadbed width for straight road sections shall be 14 feet, including a one-foot shoulder on each side of a 12-foot traveled surface, with additional width on curves as needed to allow passage of log trucks. Roadbed width is measured from the base of the cut slope to the top of the fill slope. The maximum width allowed on minimum-radius switchbacks is 20 feet. Excavation shall be limited to that necessary to construct the minimum road width. New roads constructed wider than these standards shall be narrowed by pulling back excess fill or sidecast and placing it at locations designated by the Timber Sale Officer. Normal spacing for turnouts is 1,000 feet.
Width. The width of the drum test surface shall exceed the width of the test tyre contact patch.
Width. The outer edges of the illuminating surface shall in no case be closer to the extreme outer edge of the vehicles than the outer edges of the illuminating surface of the dipped-beam headlamps.
Width. That point on the illuminating surface which is farthest from the vehicle's median longitudinal plane shall not be more than 400 mm and for vehicles of category R and S not more than 150 mm from the extreme outer edge of the vehicle. The distance between the inner edges of the two apparent surfaces in the direction of the reference axes shall be not less than 600 mm. This distance may be reduced to 400 mm where the overall width of the vehicle is less than 1,300 mm.
Width. Blocks shall have sufficient width to provide for two tiers of lots of appropriate depth except where otherwise required to separate residential development from through traffic. Width of lots or parcels reserved or laid out for commercial or industrial use shall be adequate to provide for off-street service and parking required by the use contemplated and the area zoning restrictions for such use.
