WEEKEND WORK ASSIGNMENTS. It is agreed between the parties that employees available and desirous of weekend assignments will indicate such by writing their name on a weekend availability list. Weekend work will be first assigned to those employees having signed the list. A weekend availability list will be posted at each terminal. Hours of service shall conform to Ministry of Transportation regulations, Nothing in this clause shall reduce the amount of payment for work performed at the overtime rate of pay. Machinery Moving Crews engaged in machinery moving operations who are required to work in excess of nine (9) hours on a normal working day, shall receive double the basic rate of pay for all time worked in excess of. nine (9) hours. On Saturdays, Sundays and Statutory Holidays, they shall receive double the basic rate of pay for all time worked (plus Statutory Holiday pay if otherwise qualified to receive same). The aforesaid shall, however, only apply to vehicle drivers (or when they are working with a Machinery Moving Crew. Employees will not be required suspend work during regular hours to absorb overtime. The terms of this article where applicable are also subject to the terms of Article
WEEKEND WORK ASSIGNMENTS. A. Pre-assigned weekend work should be of the type that employees would normally perform during Monday through Friday on first shift. This includes inspections, preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting of non-emergency HVAC or plumbing problems.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Assignment of Overtime Work 39.8 Subject to operational requirements, the Council shall make every reasonable effort:

  • Weekend Work (a) Overtime work on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half (1.5) for the first two (2) hours and double time thereafter, provided that all overtime worked after 12 noon on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Room Assignments A. The University draws students from many states, nations, races and religions. It will be the responsibility of each resident to respect the rights of all residents in university residence halls. Admission to Texas A&M University – Texarkana and any of its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Room and roommate assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Standard Work Day The standard work day for non-shift employees shall be seven (7) hours exclusive of the meal period.
