Weekday Overtime. Weekday overtime will normally be offered in blocks of up to four (4) hours so that whenever possible, Team Members shall not be required to work more than twelve (12) consecutive hours. Where eight (8) hours of overtime is required, this will be accomplished by utilizing a combination of pre and post shift overtime, offered to Team Members who are scheduled to work the shifts preceding and succeeding the eight (8) hour period in which the overtime is required. Whenever possible, the overtime will be offered so as to eliminate the need for Team Members to work split shifts, so that the first priority for overtime shall be to the group of Team Members for whom the overtime will represent work continuous with their regularly scheduled shift.

Weekday Overtime. If the Company determines weekday overtime is required on a specific line or department, then overtime will be allocated as follows:

The Company will post a sign up sheet two (2) weeks prior to Christmas, so that skilled trades employees can indicate their availability to work.

Weekday Overtime. First opportunity will go to the regular employees who are holding the position on that shift with the least amount of accumulated overtime hours to date, for that quarter. Note: If an employee declines or is not available for overtime for any reason, he or she shall be deemed to have worked the number of overtime hours he or she would otherwise have worked that day. Second opportunity will go the regular employees within the department by seniority who are capable of performing the required work. Third opportunity will go to the regular employees working in the plant, based upon their seniority and ability to perform the required work. Note: Regular employees who are on the shift that the overtime is being worked, that are in the labour pool, who are capable of performing the required job, and who have more seniority, may exercise the right to bump onto the specific job as may be, unless it is being worked by an employee holding the position.
Weekday Overtime. The Company shall first assign Associates from the VOSUR who are at work. After exhausting the VOSUR, the Company shall then obtain its workforce by requiring the Associates with the lowest OT hour appearing on the WOR to work the assignment. An Associate who works an overtime assignment, Monday through Friday, shall only be required to perform four (4) hours of required overtime work during any one (1) weekday, Monday through Friday, for a total of eight (8) hours in any one (1) calendar workweek (up to four (4) hours per day, two (2) days per week); an associate may be required to work two (2) hours of overtime during any one weekday for a total of ten (10) hours per calendar workweek (voluntary meetings are excluded from overtime requirement). The eight (8) hours and ten (10) cannot be combined during the same workweek. If job groups have exhausted required overtime and no one from the group volunteers for an overtime assignment, the Company may require the Associate with the lowest hours in the appropriate EOH Group from the designated Group work the overtime assignment.

Weekday Overtime. Subject to the need for assigning work with a minimum delay, the Employer agrees to equalize overtime work opportunities on a continuing, ongoing basis among all employees on the shift. The procedure to be followed in equalizing overtime work opportunities will be as follows: sheets will go up each Monday outlining where overtime opportunities may be available by date and time and employees may sign when they are available. Each day the Supervisor will assign the opportunities for that day by starting from where the list left off the previous occasion that overtime was offered. An opportunity is defined as the chance to come in early or stay late on each shift. Where employees are working weekday overtime on another shift, it is understood that their seniority and/or classification will not be a factor in assigning work. For Shipping and Receiving and Maintenance, overtime opportunities will be restricted to those within the classification. If no one volunteers and there are qualified employees on the shift they will be afforded the opportunity to work.
