Warranty and Insurance. The organiser will not be held responsible for the damage or loss of the exhibitor’s property/ property of the exhibitor’s executant (e.g. exhibits, equipment, etc.), occurred by theft, fire, accident or any other reason. The exhibitor insures his exhibits and equipment on the exhibition stand at his own costs. - The exhibitor undertakes to be present at his exhibition space during the entire assembly and dismantling time, as well as during the operating hours of the fair, and assumes full responsibility for his equipment and exhibits. - The exhibitor is held responsible for the damage or accidents caused to the organiser or to a third person on the exhibition stand by the exhibitor himself or by his staff. - The organiser does not assume any warranty for the vehicles left on the fairgrounds or parking lots by the exhibitor, his employees or people authorised by him/the exhibitor’s executant. - There is no warranty for the insufficient inscription in the exhibition catalogue (i.e. typographical-, formative errors, wrong translation or failure of the inscription, etc.). - The exhibitor is not allowed to transfer the allocated exhibition stand or advertising space/parts thereof to any third person. In case of violation the organiser reserves the right to charge to the exhibitor additional 100% of the price of the allocated exhibition stand/advertising space.

All other damage, whether from accidents, neglect, or maliciousness, will be the responsibility of the student to pay for. The District will make its best attempt to purchase replacement parts at the best possible price. Loss or theft of the device is also the student’s responsibility and will result in the student being charged the full replacement cost to purchase a new device. Warranty and Insurance. MacBooks may carry an extended warranty. It is important to be aware of warranty requirements at time of purchase. Please note that not all damage to a MacBook is automatically covered by the warranty. Damage due to careless handling by the student, may be covered by an insurance claim. An excess may be payable. Parents are responsible for the documentation and delivery of warranties and insurance for any digital devices brought to school.

In the event that Equipment is stolen, a police report must be filed. If stolen, a police report MUST be filed within 48 hours of the occurrence. Incidents occurring off campus must be reported to the police by a parent/guardian and a copy MUST be turned into the technology department. If the incident occurs during a period when school in not in session the report must be turned in when school resumes. Failure to do so will result in full replacement cost being assed regardless of age of device.
Warranty and Insurance. In an effort to provide reliable services TrustFactory offers a Warranty Policy that is covered by an insurance scheme that covers possible loss due to errors in certificates. In no event will the aggregate liability of TrustFactory to all parties (including the Relying Party) exceed the applicable liability cap for such certificates that is set forth in the Warranty Policy. For this Agreement the contractual provisions of the Insurer will also apply. Relying Parties accept that outside the context of the Warranty Policy, the Limitations of Liability as defined in the TrustFactory CP shall apply. Claims of liability for misuse of the certificate on excluded applications will be disallowed and the Relying Party will be notified by email of the disallowance of such claims.

If the student ceases to be enrolled in Township High School District 113, the student must either return his/her device to District 113, or pay the remaining balance in full if they wish to keep the device. Proper Care and Handling of Chromebooks in the Classroom Chargers ● Chargers are not covered under the student’s insurance policy. ● Avoid bending the charger cord at sharp angles. ● Don't strain the power cord at right angles to the power port. This can damage the charger cord, and the computer itself. ● Position your charger so that you won't roll over the cord with a chair, or catch the cord in the sharp edges of desk drawers. ● Disconnect all connected cords, USB memory, and any adapters before putting your Chromebook into a carrying case, bag or slot in a mobile cart. ● Be careful and gentle as you connect and disconnect the power cord. Heat ● Always place your Chromebook on a flat, stable surface. ● Do not place it on top of stacks of paper, blanket, upholstery, or anything else that is an insulator. ● The bottom of your Chromebook is a cooling surface. Excessive heat buildup will lead to premature failure. The computer needs proper airflow to operate correctly. Gravity - The Enemy of a Chromebook ● Don't drop them. A drop can break the hinge, latch, or worse. ● Keep your Chromebook away from the edges of tables and desks. Liquids ● Keep liquids away from your Chromebook. Liquids damage the electronic components quickly and easily. Always put water bottles or any other liquids on the floor while using these devices. The Screen ● Your Chromebook’s LCD Display is a very expensive component, and physical damage to it is not covered by warranty. If you drop your Chromebook or slam the lid shut, it may crack. Make sure you don't have anything between the screen and keyboard as you close the case such as a pencil. ● If you open the screen beyond its hinge limitation, it will break and be very costly to repair. It is not designed to open to a flat position. Keep Chromebook free from papers and other objects before closing it. ● Do not pick it up by the screen. ● Don't place items on top of your Chromebook as the weight can cause damage t...

Students who break or damage their Chromebook will be charged a $25 fee for each instance of breakage. Students will not be re-issued their Chromebook until the fee has been paid in the instance of loss/repair. Loss or theft of the device is also the student’s responsibility and will result in the student being charged the full $250 replacement cost to purchase a new device. If chargers are lost or broken, students will be able to purchase another for $20. Cases will be re-issued in the fall. Every attempt will be made to provide a new case to those returning one that is in disrepair. Once cases are re-issued in August any additional case will come at a cost of $30. Students MUST have their device in a case throughout the school day.
